UTHSC-Houston Spring 2013

Hi,

I am new to allnurses.com and I wanted to start a topic for the Spring 2013 applicants at UTHSC Houston. Where we can keep each other posted on the process as it nears. I have yet to take the HESI but i wonder if anyone else has taken it and what their score was. I will compile my GPA's later and post them on here.

You get the results immediately. I retake the Hesi monday. I made an 89 the first time but I think I need a higher score to be competitive. I'll post my stats after the retake. Hello everyone!

I dont think im gonna be able to sleep at all. My acceptance into this program will depend on the scores i get tomorrow. My GPA is not great at all and a mediocre Hesi will just send me down the drain. I am just sooo nervous!!

Good LUCK to everyone taking their HESI tests this week!! I can't WAIT for Saturday to come and pass...:cheers: Here's to hoping we all get accepted!! & that we can be patient enough until NOV 15 arrives. & maybe by some hilarious miracle only 80 students applied ;) hehe

I had a question I have been meaning to ask and I keep forgetting. Once my HESI "To-do" is removed I know that the "official transcript" hold will stay there as a place marker because I have not completed all of my pre-reqs. (Taking my last one this fall, which started today)

Will my application status stay at "incomplete" because I still have classes to finish? Or will it change to complete because they have everything the need to make the decision regarding my application?

I just want that yellow triangle GONE! Lol If anyone knows, that would be great.

To answer your question, no the incomplete triangle will not go away until you have finished all the courses and the to do list is cleared. I had to deal with it all last semester when i was applying to the accelerated program and the fall 2012 program.

Well I sent my question here like I always do and then I emailed the school because I have emailed them a few times. I got answered back pretty fast that it would change to complete when my HESI scores are removed from to-do. hmmm?? I know the official transcript wont be removed but the "app status" should show complete, in my opinion, rather you have classes in progress or not because its just the app process...

However, I think I remember people saying theirs never changed, and if they did get accepted it went from a yellow triangle to a green check mark "accepted". I guess Ill find out one way or another here soon...thank you for responding.

Hey! My to-do list is blank. I have no holds, but I used to. I've been told I'm complete...but I still have 3 classes I'm taking this fall. I have no idea how they do things at the SON though, it seems to be different for everyone...mostly because they're so backed up!

Same here - my app status is complete and my list of to do items is blank, even though I still have 3 classes left to fulfill all the pre-reqs. As long as the school has a copy of your official transcript, they should remove the hold... maybe they're backed up and haven't gotten around to it though?

So much conflicting stuff coming from admissions! I was told that if you had classes to complete, that your to-do list for transcripts will never change. So mine still has transcript on my to-do. Maybe I will call and get a 3rd response from them! I guess you can never be too sure right? :)
