UTHSC-Houston Spring 2013

Hi,

I am new to allnurses.com and I wanted to start a topic for the Spring 2013 applicants at UTHSC Houston. Where we can keep each other posted on the process as it nears. I have yet to take the HESI but i wonder if anyone else has taken it and what their score was. I will compile my GPA's later and post them on here.

But I did want to ask - when I applied I could have sworn they extended the deadline to November instead of the previous September 1st. Did I read that wrong? And if they did extend the deadline does that mean we have to wait longer for acceptance you think? I hope not I get all anxious every time I think about it lol

I'm in the same situation as you and I was told that everything is fine and complete. That nothing further needed to be done. I still have 2 classes to complete this fall.

I still have two "official transcript" holds on my To-Do list that have a due date of 12/01/2011. & everyone is saying its a place marker but it wouldn't make since if Courtney319 & Oceanise still have classes to take but they have nothing showing on the To-Do list. I wonder why its such different information.

I guess Friday I will see what happens, My HESI should come off the to-do list for sure and then hopefully everything changes to complete. I think I am going to try and email again and see if I get any different information...

As for the deadline being extended, I just read the website again and application deadline still says Sept 1.

So much conflicting stuff coming from admissions! I was told that if you had classes to complete, that your to-do list for transcripts will never change. So mine still has transcript on my to-do. Maybe I will call and get a 3rd response from them! I guess you can never be too sure right? :)

Do you have everything submitted already? & if so, is your status "complete" ? I don't mind the place holder for transcripts being there because I have confirmed with the school that they received mine already.

I just want it to show complete so that I can be at ease a little during the wait...

I was told that the reason why my transcript hold hadn't been removed was because my transcript showed classes in progress for summer 2012... Everyone is getting different answers.

I just got home from a super long day at work, I took my HESI early this morning and I'm happy with the results... I know I could have done better specially since my low GPA required a much higher HESI score to even be considered, but my stats are as follows:

Overall: 92%

Reading: 92%

Grammar:90%

Vocab:88%

A&P: 96%

Math: 94%

CT: 850

Cognitive/ Analytical Creative/Leader

Pre-req GPA: 3.2 :(

Science GPA: 3.0 :(

Waaay below average...What do you guys think?

Hmm maybe I was reading something else involving the deadline glad to hear it, I was super miffed thinking we had to wait longer for acceptance lol

I have everything submitted, but my status is incomplete. I don't like seeing the yellow triangle! :/ I have confirmed with them that they got my transcript at the end of july, but like I said, they told me until I completed all my pre-reqs, it would remain like that.

I have everything submitted but it still says incomplete. My to-do says the thing about TSI and then my HESI scores that they're still waiting on. I submitted my transcript before my application so I'm assuming they connected those pretty quick since I never even saw transcript on my to-do. I would also prefer a complete instead of that pesky yellow triangle haha it's driving me nuts!

I think you have a great score.I remember advising you not to be nervous but I take mine tomorrow and I am nervous too( easier said than done) we never know what UT wants so let us keep hoping for the best.Thanks everyone for your kind wishes, hopefully tomorow I can also say I am happy with my results too.I hope the critical thinking section goes well for me.

You have great scores! Dont get discouraged!! You are above everything they asked for! Just remember that acceptance ranges sooo much! We've seen all sorts of scores get in and almost perfect ones, not. I am worried too, but we all are....Just keep using this site for support! It helps me :)

Are you finished with all your pre-reqs? I have the HESI to-do, and two transcript holds that are exactly the same. Yet I have already confirmed they have my transcript.
