This thread is dedicated to the applicants of UT Houston's Spring 2012 application period. I've seen various threads posted throughout the discussion forum regarding the upcoming application period, but they are scattered and hard to keep track of. Maybe if we keep our discussion in one place it will be easier for us all to follow :)
I'm applying with the following stats:
Pre-req GPA: 3.21
Science GPA: 3.66
Overall GPA: 2.81
I know my chances of getting in aren't great with my overall GPA, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway! Please post your stats, your thoughts, your experiences, ideas and opinions here:)
Following this thread at work so can't comment in detail, but got in as well and my were 93 Hesi, 4.0 Sc, 3.92 Prereq, Degree in Finance. Someone asked about if anyone had been admitted after taking Hesi twice and I knew a classmate who was accepted and just did marginally better on the 2nd attempt, in the 90's. Good luck to the rest of ya'll, have been reading your comments over the past month and everyone here in my opinion deserves to get in.

Has anyone received anything after the last name K (even though Im guessing they arnt in that much of an alphabetical order since some have recieved them later today)

Last name is K. Also to those waiting on TWU or UHV, looks as though alot of spots will open up soon. I submitted my acceptance to both yest and informing them this week that im withdrawing my applic. From what others have advised that are current nurses, doesn't matter where you get into, after your first job just like in any other industry your experience will be the main thing considered. Anyways, my point is just as long as you get in somewhere thats all that matters.
Standard holds are for CPR and immunizations. If this is all you have, nothing yet. If you have more than this (background check, etc) it's because you've been unformally accepted!
Hi there, could somebody fill me in. I did not know anything about holds. I thought once we were accepted we could do the background check and all that other stuff. Can somebody let me know? Are we suppose to have this done already?
Amby, you didn't have to have the holds completed before you were accepted. There has just been a trend that when you see your holds increase (background check, etc) added that means you were accepted into the program.
