This thread is dedicated to the applicants of UT Houston's Spring 2012 application period. I've seen various threads posted throughout the discussion forum regarding the upcoming application period, but they are scattered and hard to keep track of. Maybe if we keep our discussion in one place it will be easier for us all to follow :)
I'm applying with the following stats:
Pre-req GPA: 3.21
Science GPA: 3.66
Overall GPA: 2.81
I know my chances of getting in aren't great with my overall GPA, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway! Please post your stats, your thoughts, your experiences, ideas and opinions here:)
My best guess is that they are updating UTlink in alpha order, however it's not exact. It seems like last names A-K (that I know of now anyways) are being updated. Again, don't worry if you last name falls somewhere in that line up, they have the next few days to get everything together. My last name is an R so I'm stuck in limbo over here. :S
I've never worked in the medical field. I have done volunteer work (not in a medical setting) but for Boys & Girls Club and JDRF. I don't remember if they asked us that in the application though? I want to say they did ask about any volunteer work.

Gahhh! I want someone to get accepted that took the HESI twice! lol I got an 88 first attempt (but failed A&P by a couple points), retook it for a 92. If they aren't going to look at people who take it twice, they should be like TWU and not allow it! :'( I'm trying to not lose faith!
Hopefully this will get me in, but I'm taking my last 16 hours of prerequisites this semester so hopefully that doesn't screw me. I figured I'd make a profile here since I've read every post on this page, and I'm on the verge of losing it waiting for my status. Haha Good luck to everyone!
Hey Chris, I had 19 hours of prerequisites I was working on this semester. Just finished 2 classes but have four more so I don't think that is a factor. I was worried about that too.
