This thread is dedicated to the applicants of UT Houston's Spring 2012 application period. I've seen various threads posted throughout the discussion forum regarding the upcoming application period, but they are scattered and hard to keep track of. Maybe if we keep our discussion in one place it will be easier for us all to follow :)
I'm applying with the following stats:
Pre-req GPA: 3.21
Science GPA: 3.66
Overall GPA: 2.81
I know my chances of getting in aren't great with my overall GPA, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway! Please post your stats, your thoughts, your experiences, ideas and opinions here:)
My holds changed! Status still says pending.. Noone will answer in the regs office lol.. My last name stats with c! I dont know for sure if this means accepted but I sure hope so! Good luck to everyone!
Oh I only took the hesi once and I'm currently taking micro.
No, this will be my first degree. I have five years medical experience. Only took the Hesi one time. This is the second time to apply to UTHSC. The first time I only had 33 hours of pre reqs completed, but I followed their advice to go ahead and start applying ASAP. I got the rejection letter the first time a week after the deadline for this fall.
@slcastillo the holds changing is unintentional on their part. I don't think they know anything about it because several people have already called and asked about it and they said they didn't know, but YES this means you're in. Only people whose holds changed got letters in past semesters. Someone had their holds updated last night, and got accepted this morning. You will see that you're accepted tomorrow.
yikes... I'm thinking the # of Hesi times may be important :/

My holds just increased! My last name starts with F as well. I don't have a previous degree.
