UTHSC (Houston) Spring

Thanks for getting back to me. (Hopefully will be able to start sending PMs soon after my next few posts :-)) I spoke with someone at the school who said I had to take HESI first before transcript eval. Don't know how true that is, but I'm waiting to take at least A&P1 first like you suggested before HESI don't want to make any mistakes. Can't seem to find any schools that offers mini classes for A&P2 (I found one that offers a mini summer 5 weeks class with lab) hoping to find one that offers the same length of time for when I'm ready for A&P2. I'll appreciate any further advice you may have as the lady I spoke with (right in the nursing dept) just sounded like she didn't want to be bothered (bad Customer Service)

I haven't took my hesi yet and I've received my transcript eval. I had transfer credits from 3 colleges and they sent me a transcript eval for each one it showed my gpa the classes that transfer and what classes I was missing. It took a while for them to send them though.

Thank you so much for your response, I sensed that woman didn't have the slightest clue what she was talking about. I'll give them a call after the holidays to follow up on my transcript eval.

Hello. I'm also applying to UTHSC this spring. I haven't taken the HESI yet but everything else seems to be in order. Does anyone know how many people they usually accept? I'm only applying to UTHSC and TWU Houston.

I think I read somewhere in a past thread that they accept 80 students in the Spring.

I have been monitoring these forums of the different schools I applied for and I just now decided to join. I too applied for Spr2012 at UTHSC, along with UTMB, TWU and UTHSCSA.

3.75 prereqs

4.00 sciences

3.69 overall

90.3 HESI

7 yrs as an Army combat medic

Maybe there's not going to be that many applicants. For HCC ADN this summer, the department was still accepting applicants after the fall cutoff date. She said there were many more spots to be filled. Hopefully it won't be many applications for the BSN spring programs. Hopefully...... But not likely.

@angelic1399, Really? HCC didn't have enough applicants? Wow! I've never heard of that happening, ever! When is the deadline for HCC. I never really considered them, because I heard that it was a long drawn out process.

We still have a LONG time until the UT deadline.....so let's not get our hopes up just yet. There could be a flood of applicants in the next few weeks. My summer school ends August 13th, so I'm sure there will be a lot more activity once the summer session is over.

It took a WHILE for mine I know. I eventually had to email somebody and she emailed somebody else... finally it got updated.
