While I'm part of the discussion forum for the UTHSC-Houston fall 2013, I couldn't see any discussion forum for the summer 2013 entry that I decided to create a new thread. I have applied both for the summer and fall, 2013 at UTMB and UTHSC. I have submitted all my application documents to both schools and I'm patiently waiting for interview/decision. Anyone in the same situation?

I just logged on today and saw that I was accepted!!! WAS NOT EXPECTING TO HEAR SO SOON!!! It totally shocked me to see the "accept/decline" button! I submitted my application in September, but didn't take my HESI until Nov. 20. Has someone set up a facebook page for accepted BACC2 students for Summer 2013? Good luck to those of you still waiting - Hope to see you there!

Congrats to everyone who's heard back! Had you already finished all of your prereqs by the time you applied? The only class I have left this semester is philosophy....

nursing prereqs - 3.83

science - 3.67

overall undergraduate (2 years at Baylor, BA from UTSA) - 3.76

Hesi of 95.4% and an 860 critical thinking.

I still have two classes outstanding. I'm taking Microbiology and Statistics this semester.

I got a happy email today as well!! Very very excited :) I did not have all my prereqs finished when I applied. I'm taking my last prereq right now- which is philosophy.

Was there a facebook group set up? I'm not sure if someone responded earlier!

I'm still in 2 classes this spring as well... Microbiology and Stats. I'm nervous Nelly now....

I applied for summer near the beginning of October. I am still waiting to hear back and am currently taking nutrition, philosophy, and chemistry (as I was short only ONE credit hour >.

I scored a 95.2 on the HESI with 850 for critical thinking.

My previous bachelor's degree GPA is a 3.8something, and I think my pre-req GPA currently sits around a 3.0-3.2 range...chemistry is killer!

I sent them my current transcript in hopes that if they know I'm at least enrolled in the classes it will help my chances of getting in. I'm really nervous about my pre-req GPA, and I check the myUTH application status every day hoping something changes! It's even more nerve-wracking knowing some people have gotten acceptance already...I didn't think they would notify us at least until March!

Anyway, congrats to those who have gotten in and good luck to everyone else waiting...hopefully we hear something soon.

I'm in the same boat as you.... I applied for summer back in August... and I'm still waiting to hear as well.

I scored a 92 on my HESI (AP was an 89 because I had not taken APII before I took my test) with a 900 for Critical Thinking. My pre-req GPA is around 3.5, but under grad GPA was not the greatest... struggled with a few issues and was not mature enough to handle somethings when I thought I was! You live and learn...

I sent my transcripts in as well so it would show that I was currently in classes. I was advised to do this by someone in the registrars office, so I did it. I'm nervous that my undergrad GPA is going to hurt me even though they say that they look mainly at your pre-req GPA... It is very nerve wrecking knowing that people have started getting their acceptances already. If you email or call the only thing admissions will tell you is that they have until April 15th as their deadline to notify you if you've been accepted or denied... I pray to God we hear something soon!

Ya'll be positive! I am exactly like that...I made a 92 on HESI...850 CT, 3.5 pre req GPA because of some bad scores from 15 years ago! 4.0 science GPA. I was put on wait list for Spring...never got the call...then was called a few weeks ago for summer start!!! I was soooooo happy! And it all worked out for the best as I have a lot going on between now and May so I am able to enjoy some time with kids before the craziness begins! I am getting on facebook now to find the group. Can't wait to meet those who start in May....it will be a tough but rewarding road ahead. To those who are waiting....I know EXACTLY where you are coming from. Hang in there!!!
