Hi everyone! I did not find a thread for fall 2015 UTHSC applicants so I decided to create one, sorry if there is already one. I am going to be applying to Prairie View A&M, UTHSC, and Lone Star College (with UTHSC being my first choice). My current stats are:
Science GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA: 3.9
I am taking my Hesi test this Saturday. I'm fairly nervous about it so I'm studying non-stop until it's time to take the test.
I'm looking forward to talking to everyone else that is applying! :)
Hey transcript evaluation is a formal evaluation of your credits from other colleges. They evaluate your pre-reqs and give you credit for the courses you have already taken (ex: A&P, English, History, etc.) You will get an evaluation in the mail to see what you would still need to take in the summer if you get in (ex: you have everything except Philosophy). Hey all! Does anyone know if you have to get an interview to get accepted? Or when interviews are / when they tell you you have one? Only about a month left!!!!!
They mail you an evaluation of the classes you have taken and the classes they accept. Also, they calculate the gpa you have for the nursing prereqs and science prereqs. It lets you know what classes you might need or where to improve your gpa. No such thing as a dumb question:yes:.
I applied for an August start and I have not received anything like that. I graduate in May so maybe they're waiting on that transcript to fully evaluate?
No, they evaluate what you already have completed and see which courses are in progress this semester. If you're accepted, they will need an updated transcript before starting this fall!
I checked last year's fall class forum.. It looks like they sent out the first wave around 3/26/14... Just try to be patient I know it's difficult though!
I think they changed the website around. It brings me to a separate page when I click student admissions. I no longer see the page with the accepted, declined, and waist listed icons. Did it do the same thing for everyone else?
Yes, i noticed this too. However if you click "favorites" on the menu bar in the top left, then select "Student Admissions," it will take you to the same page it took you to before
