Hello all,
I am wanting to apply to UTHEALTH for Summer 2020 and fall 2019. I will be coming from out of state. This semester I am taking Stats and texas government and taking the HESI. In the Spring, I will take Mirco lab. I will have about a 3.2-3.3 overall GPA by the time I apply. Has anyone gotten accepted with this GPA before?
I'm hoping we hear back by this Friday. They should really consider the fact that for some of us $60 is worth A LOT of money.. Not sure what the hold up is but its very frustrating and seems to me that they just want to make money from us by giving us no other option than to have to reapply.
When I applied for Summer, I only listed significant jobs I had and didn't list jobs from high school or over 4 years ago (like clothing stores). I also didn't list volunteer work because the section only stated to list "professional, military or employment" so I didn't think that belonged there and there was no section that asked for volunteering. I just wanted to make sure this is correct or if anyone has any different thoughts on this as I've been working on my fall app because I feel like I'm starting to overthink this time around
I’m starting my new application for Fall 2020 today since the results for Summer 2020 hasn’t been released yet, when I log into my account and click “apply” and enter in my email and password it says that it already exists. How did you guys Do it that way the 2 applications were under your original Summer 2020 account? Or do you have to use a different email/password?
Do y’all think it’s taking so long because of the coronavirus? A lot of colleges near me are shutting down for a couple of weeks and going to have online lectures due to the virus so maybe it’s the same for in Texas(??) Maybe they haven’t been able to meet due to everyone getting sick..I’m not sure why else it’d be taking so long.

Thank you! I went ahead and filled out an application. I’ll be waiting for tomorrow/Friday before submitting and paying the application fee. As for our HESI & Transcripts, would we have to start over on sending scores or do I just call to tell them I previously applied for the Summer 2020 term so that they can take it off of the to do list?

It could be the reason. I’ve looked at past threads for the Summer term and they have always released admission status on the first week of March and it’s already the second going onto the third week, next week.

Your transcripts and HESI are already on file with the school if you've sent them before. You can call to make sure they have them though!

I think it is impacting it in a way. Right now in my S1, 2 of my 3 in person classes have been cancelled and will now be online. The faculty are in school though although I'm not sure about people involved in the decision making. The UT professional building is working as normal although they are screening people before entering. Also, they keep sending updates to us via email so everything is pretty much normal so far. They just don't want more than 40 students in one class. Our community clinicals might be cancelled and we'll find out possibly next week. I think the faculty are trying to get everything organized with all the cohorts.

Yes mine looks exactly the same as last time! It doesn't have a spot that says overall either, just individual sections which is the way it was for Summer for me. I'm a little confused? but I'm also waiting until the last day to submit
