Hello all,
I am wanting to apply to UTHEALTH for Summer 2020 and fall 2019. I will be coming from out of state. This semester I am taking Stats and texas government and taking the HESI. In the Spring, I will take Mirco lab. I will have about a 3.2-3.3 overall GPA by the time I apply. Has anyone gotten accepted with this GPA before?

I applied twice, I was denied the first time And all I got was a letter but the second time I got waitlisted and received an email 3 days before the letter came. Then got an email first when I was taken off the waitlist and the letter came about 4 days after
That's what I'm so confused about! Because last year, I got a portal update (denail) late (June 8th) after others had already gotten acceptances/denials. Then maybe a week later I got a transcript eval. ( I had some classes in progress) Then another week or two went by until I finally got a denial letter. But would you believe I NEVER got an email denial. And they say you will get all 3.

If it helps, I didn’t receive one when I was denied the First time I applied, and didn't receive one when I got accepted the second time I applied

Yeah, I never received an email when I was denied it was only the letter and it came Way after it was updated in the system. They are pretty bad about that and I know a lot of people who also found out that way. But with the acceptance and waitlisted for the most part have been good, maybe because it’s only going out to less than 200 people vs the denials go out to hundreds of people. And for my cohort only one batch of acceptance went out At once, and one batch of waitlisted, on other threads I’ve seen they have had multiple batches at a time
personally, I don't understand why they wait for too long to get back to us like this cycle. Normally, for previous application cycle, they did a pretty good job in releasing decision before the deadline of the next cycle so those who did not get in get chance to apply. Yesterday I talked to Kelsey Park, she is a senior in the cohort of the program and here is what she said "..Last year it was on the 2nd or the 3rd that they told everyone who was accepted so it may be a little different this year date wise. I would say wait until the 12th/13th at max to hear back before you go ahead with the Fall application they’re pretty good about getting back to students before the next application deadline comes to pass so if you haven’t heard by then I would give them a call and ask and tell them you’ll be reapplying for Fall if there’s no answer. I don’t think they’ll wait THAT long but it’s possible. My thoughts though, I’ll bet you guys will hear by tomorrow or Monday worst case but I would still give it as much time as possible before you call just in case"
I really hope they'll release the decision soon so I can enjoy my bring break or start working on my new application if I don't get in ?

On https://nursing.uth.edu/currstudent/new/ under the Immunizations - E*Value click on the orange "SON required immunizations"
