UTHEALTH Summer 2020

Hello all,

I am wanting to apply to UTHEALTH for Summer 2020 and fall 2019. I will be coming from out of state. This semester I am taking Stats and texas government and taking the HESI. In the Spring, I will take Mirco lab. I will have about a 3.2-3.3 overall GPA by the time I apply. Has anyone gotten accepted with this GPA before?

My friend called the admissions office today and one of the ladies told him that they will inform us of our decisions 2 weeks from now. Not sure why they pushed back the date because I had attended an information session online and in-person and they clearly stated they will let us know the beginning of March. Also, we're allowed to have 2 applications on file just in case you're not in for the Summer '20 and want to have fall '20 as a plan B. Btw deadline for fall application is March 15.

I too attended the online session and thought they’d do it in the beginning of March. They said they would let us know so that we would have time to apply to Fall. Well, at this point, I will continue my application for UTMB. I have been holding off paying for the transcript entry because I believed that we’d know this week.
Spring break is next week right? They really pushed it back far! Last year they found out starting March 5th.

New to the thread here, but I also applied for the Summer program so I am waiting as well. Has anyone had any trouble logging in into the ApplyUTH? I want to put in my application for the fall, but it is not letting me.

Hey guys!! I’ve been lurking on this thread for a while now and decided to finally comment. I was wondering if anyone else’s transcripts are showing as overdue even though they have been submitted.

@GDez22 Yes, it’s gonna be like that if you’re still taking class or completing a degree. I had the same issue and was worried, I called and asked. They said that as soon as as get my BS in May it will clear up but it’s not gonna affect your status.

I had to get on here and post! There is SOMETHING in the mail from the school. I don't know if it will arrive today but I get email notifications about what's coming in the mail for me. There is no email notification and my portal still sayd "application under review" also last year I did not get an email at all with a denial. I got a denial letter about a week AFTER my portal had been updated to denial. I don't know what to do with myself but wait! I'll update ASAp!

It's likely your transcript evaluation, those come in the mail!

@ MickeyLuc same here! This is my first time applying and I have already gotten my evaluation months ago so I'm not sure what it could be. I'll also update.

Usually you’ll get an email first if you were accepted or waitlisted before the letter gets to you. I applied twice, I was denied the first time And all I got was a letter but the second time I got waitlisted and received an email 3 days before the letter came. Then got an email first when I was taken off the waitlist and the letter came about 4 days after
