UTHEALTH Summer 2020

Updated:   Published

Hello all,

I am wanting to apply to UTHEALTH for Summer 2020 and fall 2019. I will be coming from out of state. This semester I am taking Stats and texas government and taking the HESI. In the Spring, I will take Mirco lab. I will have about a 3.2-3.3 overall GPA by the time I apply. Has anyone gotten accepted with this GPA before?

Hi,

I also haven't received the course evaluation but I have 3 class in progress. But the thing is when I applied, I wasn't enrolled in any classes. So, my transcript doesnot show any pending classes. Will that be a problem?

Hi!

We have almost the exact same stats! Did you receive a coursework evaluation? I never got one and it's making me nervous ?

As dmikedan mentioned...If you didn’t receive one, chances are you are not missing anything. I didn’t receive one.

Hi everyone

I'm a current J1 and I never received an evaluation so do not worry if you haven’t, not everyone does and doesn’t mean you’re not being considered. Good luck to everyone!

Where does it say on the website? I've looked at the BSN Admission Requirements page several times.

It doesn't say exactly that but on https://nursing.uth.edu/prospstudent/BSN/prerequisiteguide.htm below the heading "BSN Prerequisite Guide FAQ", the first question.

Anyone receive any updates yet on the portal?

Nope, maybe too soon? I was thinking the 5th was when we may start hearing back because the last Summer cohort started to hear back on the 8th. Good luck. I am super nervous.

Not that it matters but last Summer was the 5th, the first tuesday of March. Also you could get accepted up to a couple weeks before May 18( when Summer 2020 session starts). I read on a old thread that someone who was on the waitlist found out 2 weeks before school started...LOL.

Oh geezs, I don’t know where I heard the 5th then...but it has been sticking in my head as to when I’d start excessively checking and refreshing my browser.

Since I am taking money out of an investment account for school, I sincerely hope that doesn’t happen to me, LOL the money needs to be in my bank account and I'd need more than two weeks.

A friend of mine accepted a place last year and got a really good job opportunity as well as having some family issues going on. He ended up giving his place up later, after accepting it. I'm sure they get a few who accept and then drop out.

No word as of yet. The suspense is killing me....
