UTHEALTH Summer 2020

Updated:   Published

Hello all,

I am wanting to apply to UTHEALTH for Summer 2020 and fall 2019. I will be coming from out of state. This semester I am taking Stats and texas government and taking the HESI. In the Spring, I will take Mirco lab. I will have about a 3.2-3.3 overall GPA by the time I apply. Has anyone gotten accepted with this GPA before?

For anyone in the program, is there anyone accepted in your cohort that was out of state? I'm wondering if I even have a chance, ugh?

Acceptance is not based on where you live, it is only based on your grades, TEAS score and you get a points bump if you have a previous bachelor's degree or have taken a certain amount of hours at TWU. The only thing you should be concerned with as an out of state applicant is paying out of state tution and making sure you have all of the texas common core classes that are required (ex. Texas government).

HI! I think you have the wrong school as Uthealth does Hesi. Plus, I wanted to know if there's any actual out of staters because then that would let me know that they don't accept them. Thank you though :)!

I'm pretty sure I remember some people getting accepted from out of state during our bootcamp so being out of state won't affect your chance of getting in.

Does anyone know when we are suppose to hear back?

Last summer was March 5, which was the first Tuesday of March. So I’d say the first week of March for this cycle.

I haven't received a transcript evaluation. Wonder if the people who receive one are the ones accepted?

I decided that it was time to say hi! I have been snooping around and reading post. I submitted my application at the beginning of december for Summer 2020.

Hi!

We have almost the exact same stats! Did you receive a coursework evaluation? I never got one and it's making me nervous ?

If you have nothing missing Or in progress then you’ll never receive one. They don’t send them out to everyone it says it online

Yeah, that's true. I think the only reason why I got one is because I had coursework in progress. I emailed them back asking if I can get an updated one since I finished all my pre reqs but I haven't heard back
