Hi everyone! I found this forum last night and figured I would create this for anyone who wants to discuss the pacesetter program for Spring 2021. The application deadline will be here before we know it! I will be taking courses at San Jac this Summer to finish my pre-reqs ( a lot of the unfortunately ). Hope everyone is staying safe and taking this time to prepare as much as possible. I had been volunteering at Methodist but unfortunately that has ceased for now. Post anything you’d like here!
so glad I found this and see that other people were having issues with transcripts! I got a letter in the mail saying mine from alvin community college was missing and I freaked because the deadline has already passed and when I called I actually got through this time and was told that as long as I send it I’m good!! good luck to everyone!

Yet when I talked to --------------- (admissions coordinator) she made it seem like it the registrar didn’t have it on September 1st then they won't consider your application. I don't know what to believe all I know is that they got my last transcript on the 1st thank god.

Yeah they don't accept any documents after the 1st. Even if they do receive it, they won't put it on your file because it's overdue. I spoke with the registrar's office, admissions and ------------------ about this and got the same response. They simply don't accept late documents or transcripts. The only exception they make is with the HESI Scores, and that is ONLY if you took the HESI through the UTH code before September 1st. I'm glad your transcript made it in on time!
This waiting game will be very hard. All I can tell myself is that I submitted a competitive application and whatever comes was meant to be. I just would really love to be able to begin my education as soon as possible. I would be thrilled to have that opportunity. Really though good luck to everyone! Honestly this forum seemed a lot les active than some years past. Hopefully this semester somehow had less interest with everything going on in the world lmao probs not.

Honestly, this month and a half is about to be dreadful and anxiety-ridden for sureee! UT's Spring semesters are usually less competitive but man this is crazy. 200 out of 1200 get picked. I really hope we're the lucky batch. I know there's a groupme with like 150 members, I'm sure the volume of applicants didn't change. The best thing to do right now is just let go and let yourself live HAHAAHAH

I called yesterday and told them about receiving the letter in the mail and asked them if I send it in will it be okay and they told me yes to send it in. I really hope they still evaluate my application because I turned it in on time and everything and thought I had all of my stuff.

I had called on the 1st also because I still had both of my transcripts under To Do LIST. And I had to order them for a second time. I asked if they would go away once my transcripts came in again and they said yes but they could use the “incomplete” (or first) transcript I had sent in when I finished my application. So I’m hoping that I am still given a chance. (My anxiety has peaked once again ;-;)
Apparently the class I had dropped for the Summer was not removed yet for my first time sending the transcript. But this is what I was told when I asked if it would affect my evaluation process.
"Your in-progress LSC transcript was receibevd in July. This will not come off of your to do list until your official final transcript is received. The school can still review this transcript for admission if they choose."

when I was accepted there was a specific process to follow through the course. When you are admitted they will tell you what to do. You can start your vaccinations though if you need any done.

I think they get inundated with calls back to back. I'm currently in the program and had a not stella experience with a couple of staff over the phone when I was applying. I nearly turned down my place here and took a different offer. I'm so glad I didn't, it wasn't representative of the school and the staff there at all. The student culture is also one of mutual support which is great.
