Hi everyone! I found this forum last night and figured I would create this for anyone who wants to discuss the pacesetter program for Spring 2021. The application deadline will be here before we know it! I will be taking courses at San Jac this Summer to finish my pre-reqs ( a lot of the unfortunately ). Hope everyone is staying safe and taking this time to prepare as much as possible. I had been volunteering at Methodist but unfortunately that has ceased for now. Post anything you’d like here!

The San Jac one I’ve had lots of problems with. San Jac transcript service didn’t list UTHealth Registrars Office as a place to send to and they only had listed “University of Texas MD Anderson“ (another college at UT Health). I sent it there for good measure because I couldn’t clarify with someone because of the hurricane closure. I was told by San Jac today that I’ll just have to basically wait and see if it gets received by UT. I mean its not like my future depends on these being sent -__-
I had been under the impression that you needed to have your HESI scores before you submitted your application and my HESI had been rescheduled to just three days ago. I was even willing to pick up my transcript and hand deliver to UT but nope thats not allowed. I’m on the verge of a breakdown here...
I don't even know why they ask for you to type in your HESI scores on the application... you should be fine and they will receive your scores electronically. If you have in progress work on transcript, it will continue to show on the to-do list. The only way to see if it’s been received is to call. But good luck getting ahold of anyone at the registrars office. However, the student affairs office (713.500.2100) was able to check if it had been put into the system.
My transcript was from San Jac as well. WOW!, that sucks that is the response they gave you! I guess I will be in the same boat as you with the transcript situation. Thank you for giving me that info though! I will try to call student affairs Monday although, at this point IDK what good that’ll do ??♀️ Good luck to us. Hopefully everything will work out in the end.

Hi there! I just wanted to tell you both that I had transcripts from San Jac sent as well and it did get accepted and cleared off. I am not sure when you submitted yours but mine did take a few days maybe even a week to clear!

Hi! I sent mine back in July. I wasn’t sure if they were sent electronically or mailed and San jac doesn’t have anything confirmed, and just that it was sent. I just did the ‘send official transcripts’ option on SOS. I have classes in progress so it won’t officially show completed either way. I’ll just have to try and call to see if they were received.

I had the same problem! Trust me I was anxious and super paranoid about it. I just called the registrar's office and the lady said as long as they had your transcript it should be okay. I suggest calling to see if they can locate your transcript. The lady found my transcript and said everything is good to go. But I called back because it still said initiated transcript after confirming they have received it and the lady just said that it was okay and they'll look for your transcript when it comes time to evaluate the applications.
Don't stress too much over transcripts like I did! As long as you know you sent it and called to confirm they have it, it's all going to be okay!
Update: I was able to get ahold of someone at the San Jac registrars office and she was able to get UT Health to show up under the list of colleges to send too. I’m not sure how long its been this way but she said that their school code had changed so it hadn’t been showing up as an option. She was able to get my transcript sent to UT on Friday so I’m crossing my fingers that UT has it in their system by the end of Tuesday. She said it usually doesn’t take longer than 1 or 2 days if its electronic. My one from UH only took 2 days. Also, my HESI is no longer on the to-do list! I was on the phone for 3 hours on Friday trying to get this figured out. The San Jac one probably won't clear from my list because I have “in progress” classes there. So I’ll call on Monday to check. All of this could of been avoided if they just clearly said that you don't have to have your HESI scores to submit the application. If that was the case I would of sent it a month ago.

Unfortunately the SOS system doesn’t specify whether it will be sent electronically or mailed. The registrars office makes the decision without you knowing. And when you call the main customer service office they basically tell you they don't know and to wait and see. And then I asked if I could talk to someone directly at the registrars office and they told me no. I was saying like “yeah thats great and all but I HAVE to know because the deadline is in two business days and if its mailed they absolutely won't get it in time”. THANK GOD the UT head registrar replied to an email I sent and gave me the contact info to a lady who works in the San Jac registrars office (she use to work at UT) and she was able to fix everything for me. And yep it turns out the ones I had sent through SOS were being mailed so I would of been screwed if I hadn’t gotten ahold of her.

Thank you so much! That makes me feel a lot better. Hopefully I can get it sorted it Monday when I call.

That is so crazy! ??♀️ Good thing you got it all sorted out finally! I’m going to use the number you gave me and try to do the same Monday. I sent it way in advance so I’m just hoping me waiting this long to confirm doesn’t bite me in the butt. LOL
Has anyone asked UT if they will accept online science lab credits for this semester (Fall 2020)? I know they are accepting them for Spring and Summer 2020 but I havent heard about fall. I mean they really have to since basically all college classes are online this semester. In person wasn’t an option for San Jac A&P II and MicroBio.
