Hi everyone! I found this forum last night and figured I would create this for anyone who wants to discuss the pacesetter program for Spring 2021. The application deadline will be here before we know it! I will be taking courses at San Jac this Summer to finish my pre-reqs ( a lot of the unfortunately ). Hope everyone is staying safe and taking this time to prepare as much as possible. I had been volunteering at Methodist but unfortunately that has ceased for now. Post anything you’d like here!
Hi guys!
Has anyone not taken the HESI yet? I feel like I am waiting so last minute as I am taking it on the 26th. Also has anyone submitted their application before taking the HESI or is that not allowed? I cannot get ahold of anyone at the school over email. Thanks and good luck y'all!
2 minutes ago, Ayesha Abbas said:@faith20 There's a section on the application where we have to put HESI scores for each subject. So I don't think you can submit the application before taking the HESI. Yeah, UTH is not really good at responding back via email. Good luck on your HESI! You can do it!!
Thank you!!

Hey,
I completed my HESI and tried sending my HESI Transcript to the school and they still have not gotten it. How did you fill out the form and what mode of delivery did you use to send it in.

I would wait a couple days to see if they receive it. Maybe wait till this coming Wednesday. If not, call Elsevier and tell them the importance of having your scores sent to UT. In previous years I’ve heard of them expediting it really quickly if you tell them your deadline is soon.

Yes those are the only science pre-reqs. You MUST take the lecture and lab for all of them. You need to have at least 8 total hours of science pre-reqs completed to apply. So basically two of those.

I have been trying to call and email for OVER a week with no response. If I don’t get anything by Monday I’m calling and I’ll be forceful. When I called today the operator responded like this was an ongoing problem. I take my test the 25th! I’m not so worried about the HESI scores because they absolutely will be sent on time (I’m taking with Prometric) but it’s my transcripts I’m worried about. They recommend you submit your application and then send transcripts. That doesn’t give me much time to have those sent.
Does anyone know if the scores in the SUBCATEGORIES of reading count against you? I made a 94 overall score on the reading portion of the HESI, but one of the subcategories, I failed with a 67. My overall HESI was a 92 so I’m trying to figure out if I should schedule to retake the exam ?

No I don’t believe so. The website states they only look at the overall score of each category.
Hi guys, I submitted my application already and at the time I hadn’t taken my HESI, so I didn’t do the part where I manually entered my scores. Does anyone know if this is required or if it’ll be an issue? I recently took my HESI and had it sent directly to UT so I’m hoping that’ll be fine. Also, I sent my transcripts right after I submitted my app, but on my profile it has transcripts under to do list. I have 2 classes in progress and I know it says it’ll continue to show that until you send an updated transcript but how do we know if they even received the initial transcript? Like if it’s from not receiving it at all or if it’s from having courses in process? LOL Sorry if that’s a dumb question. Just getting worried as we are approaching the deadline.

I did the titer and it was negative. I'm older so it wasn't required when I was in school.
