Hey everyone?!
Just wanted to start a forum to see if there are any other nursing student applicants for the Fall semester? I just applied, although, I know I will not get a response until beginning of April. I was so excited since I just finished my HESI. I had to retake it since I did not take Vocab. the first time I took it? . Anyways, I really pray I get in for August so I can get started and not need to take any additional classes for other schools. My friend got in for Spring 2019 and she is loving it. I have really been fighting to get here for a VERY LONG TIME
I really can't wait. Good luck to everyone! ?

Hi! This is my card that I had done through my job. We have to take the class and renew every 2 years. I know you can google AHA BLS CPR locations and find a class near you. Usually they're 1 day long.

Theres two "orientations" The first one is new students admitted day which is NOT mandatory and basically it is informal and they tell you about the school, give you a tour and lunch, and parents and important people to you can come (they'll give you the details later). New students admitted was like 2 months(?) before school starts. For us it was March 29 or something like that and it was a Friday for us. And then there is actual orientation which is Mandatory this one was the wednesday before school started which for us was May 15th with classes starting the 20th.
Thank you for the info! Is the newly admitted day a good day to do the in-person identity verification or should I just drive up to the campus one day to show my ID?

Lol honestly the next day I was accepted I was so eager to do the ID verification so I went to the school to do it and they said they couldn't take the ID hold off from my account yet. So I would definitely wait til New students admitted day.
Looks like no new today either ?♀️
I'm convinced they sent a few acceptances and waitlists early by accident or something last week and they'll start sending the rest of the answers (acceptance, waitlist and denial) tomorrow and Friday ?
Last year it wasn't until May 31 that they started sending stuff out so I guess we (or maybe just me!) can just keep going stir crazy for now ?
Does anyone know if they usually send out denials days later or what has it looked like in the past? I just want to know so I can start applying again and to more schools this time around. I couldn't last time because I was lacking the minimum the others were requiring. At this point I am okay if I am denied. I just want it to be officially said to me so I can move forward.

My uneducated guess is that they’ll send out rejections after the ten days has passed for the accepted people to decline their acceptances. I would guess that they’re keeping the rest of us in limbo so they can refill the waitlist depending on how many people decline. Total guess though.

That is a very good guess though. It makes sense! But as for us that have to wait...it sucks.

That’s true. I was surprised at how different the deadlines were for UTH vs UTMB. Hopefully I won’t have to wait too much longer for a UTMB decision!
