Hey everyone?!

Just wanted to start a forum to see if there are any other nursing student applicants for the Fall semester? I just applied, although, I know I will not get a response until beginning of April. I was so excited since I just finished my HESI. I had to retake it since I did not take Vocab. the first time I took it? . Anyways, I really pray I get in for August so I can get started and not need to take any additional classes for other schools. My friend got in for Spring 2019 and she is loving it. I have really been fighting to get here for a VERY LONG TIME

So I found out today that I was accepted into A&M's traditional nursing program. I'm so happy but also conflicted now, because I will have to accept that offer before I hear back about UTHealth for the Fall! Does anyone know anything about accepting an offer while still waiting to hear back from another school? Would I be able to retract it if I get in here and decide to go here instead? I also have no idea how A&M compares with this program, other than the fact that it's 2 years long versus 15 months. It is also very competitive so I feel very lucky to have gotten in, but I wonder which program is technically better? If anyone has any insight please let me know!

From what I’ve seen between UTMB & UTH threads, you can always give up your spot before the program starts. You just won’t get your deposit back if they had you pay to reserve your seat. But I am not sure how A&M works.

Hi guys!!

I'll go ahead and join this thread with y'all haha. Both my GPAs are around a 3.8 from what I believe but maybe a 3.7 for science because I just found out what classes they calculate. My HESI score in total is a 91. 100 - A&P , 90 - Reading, Math, and Vocabulary, 84 - Grammar.

Hey everyone!

I was sadly denied for Summer so I have reapplied for Fall. I'm having technical difficulties logging in to the application portal and can't speak to someone at the help desk until Monday. Could someone kindly confirm for me what date is listed next to the to-do list items? When I applied for Summer it said 3/15 eventhough the Cizik site said 1/15. I'm running into a conflict with sending a transcript because my school is closed this coming week for spring break and the application deadline is Friday. Thanks for the help!

Thank you! I enjoy Micro because it's interesting but right now there is so much pressure to do really well in it, so I think that decreases the enjoyment factor for me! ? I wish these schools did personal interviews instead of basing everything on paper. The difference between a 3.8 and a 4.0 student might come down to personality and past experiences which are WAY more important (in my opinion) than grades on paper.

VYes! That would be awesome! I've met people trying to get into the nursing program and I'm like how? They lack a lot of basic knowledge in class like they dont really try pr study. They just show up. But I feel if it is my time to get into the program, those doors will go flying open.

Based on past forums end of May or beginning of June. Seems like people found out different days and times. It wasn't all at once.

Does anyone else's To-Do list under applyuth show overdue for transcripts? I had mine electronically and mailed there, so I am just curious. I will call them but this freaked me out a bit.

I keep getting locked out of my account, which is a seperate issue BUT if it says past due, that likely means they were not received by yesterday's deadline. I fear that mine did not get there in time either and I cannot check the status on my portal since I am locked out :( It is also Cizik's spring break starting Monday, so I don't think there will be anyone to speak to until the following Monday, March 25th..
