UTA Spring 2012

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

Alas! Here I go again!;) This thread is dedicated to all hopefuls to either of the programs- AP or traditional. Let's partake in the sharing of ideas, suggestions, and/or insight in the "intricacies" of this nursing program. Former grads, new or current students are encouraged to chat. Knowledge is power, indeed! Continued blessings and success to all! Good Luck!:D

Just checked mail no letter!!!!

So how did that one person already get 2 letters? For on-campus and academic partnership... I think folks get confused thinking that they are being accepted to the program - when they are just getting a general UTA Pre-Nursing acceptance...Anywho...

If the letters went out yesterday, I bet they didn't leave UTA until today... most places, like here at Baylor, the mail gets picked up from our department and technically doesn't go out until the next day...and you can bet, since we are all literally camped out at our mailboxes, that the mail fairy, isn't going to speed it up...

All I know, is we all deserve to get in just by the passion expressed on this board! I can remember when we only had like 3 pages of comments and now we are up to 60 pages...haha....

Hi Denissa_1,

For me, the online classes have been great. There is not too much direction though, so you have to be able to somewhat teach yourself the concepts with information provided. It's definitely ideal with working and small kids.

McKinneyMom,

thanks that sounds great! I think it's something that will work for me. Now I just need to be able to talk to someone in the Nursing advising so they can tell me the process on how to get started....

Good luck to everyone, I have been reading the comments & I hope you all get acceptance letters soon:)

So anxious!!! Ugh butting my nails!!

Because this is such a hectic time for all the advisors with everyone waiting for their letters, I would wait a couple weeks to try and talk to someone. If you go on the AP BSN website you can actually talk to an AP BSN representative instead of a nursing advisor. After everyone gets their letters and the advisors have a few weeks to sort through all of the people wanting to talk to them about rejection and etc they will be much more free! Goodluck:)

No letter for me today either...and the wait continues....I don't know why we are stressing, we are all going to get in...

I have not been able to concentrate and do anything productive today as I stalk the mailbox. My mail should be arriving any minute with hopefully a letter. I will let you guys know shortly!

Kaystarz I am with you! I don't think I have ever exeperienced such anxiety over the mail coming in all my life....haha...and it's not just for myself, but for all of us!

Good luck!

Okay, so here is the plan - ANYONE who gets a letter on here...LET US KNOW!! and also maybe share with us what the letter says...

I just found this awesome forum! Hi to all! I received my acceptance letter to the UTA AP BSN program for January 2012 :) Hoep yalls come int eh mail today! I live in the Fort Worth area so mail to locals should be out soon! Best of luck to all and I cant wait to hear from all who will be starting in january as well

Congratulation's @lagremillion!

@BJBAILEY1972 - All this time it was there..lo BUT I did not get in, sadly. Good Luck to everyone else!!

OH NO!!! What did it say, did they give a reason (if you feel like sharing it) - you can email or private message me if you don't want to post it here... I am so sorry, DO NOT GIVE UP. Correct whatever the issue was and apply again. Where you partnered?

I agree with BJBAILEY1972! Keep trying I had a good friend who applied and did nto get accepted the first time but did the second time around. She is partnered and does not have a previous degree and they said that was a big hold up for her but the second time around she got in. Dont give up!!
