  1. Have they called you for an interview yet???
  2. @Amaxwell, if you take all of your prereqs at collin college it will take you 3 semesters until you can apply, and you will forfeit your one point on the application process. I was accepted into the spring 2012 class at collin and had 16 points, but there definitely is a lot of people that were accepted with 15 points, so it is possible! But, there is a WAY shorter way to get your prereqs done faster. It costs a little extra money to go to Dallas County Community College, and you might have to drive a little ways, but they have a class during the summer where you can take A&P 1 and 2 during one single summer. A&P 1 is four weeks and A&P 2 is four weeks. The pace seems intimidating when you first think about it, but to me it was easier to take it that way than in a traditional setting. You learned informatino monday-thursday and test on fridays. You don't have time to forget the information, and the teachers and NORTHLAKE are awesome at cutting out the information that is useless and giving you the only NEED TO KNOW facts. I did this last summer and knocked out both in one summer, and got A's in both. I would consider looking into this! I believe there also in an option to take both Anatomys in one semester, like half the semester in A&P1 and the other half A&P 2. Goodluck :)
  3. @2blessedRN I think BJBAILEY1972 thought that you had applied to the BSN program, not the RN to BSN. You won't have to apply a second time since you already are an RN and are just trying to get your BSN. Technical writing is a lot of writing and papers, but its just busy work, nothing is too difficult and most of the time you get all the points as long as you complete the assignments on time. I have not taken professional nursing (because that is part of the BSN program) so I don't have any knowledge of that class. Goodluck! :)
  4. Because this is such a hectic time for all the advisors with everyone waiting for their letters, I would wait a couple weeks to try and talk to someone. If you go on the AP BSN website you can actually talk to an AP BSN representative instead of a nursing advisor. After everyone gets their letters and the advisors have a few weeks to sort through all of the people wanting to talk to them about rejection and etc they will be much more free! Goodluck:)
  5. Are you partnered?? And if you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA??
  6. My thought is, I don't see the nursing office adding anyone into the system and allowing people to enroll so early. Especially before orientation. I could be wrong, but it seems silly that they would add all accepted students into the system the day that the list comes out on who got in and who didn't. For the mere fact that they would have to go through and redo some of these for the students who are not going to accept the offer to join the UTA nursing program.. yano?
  7. mckinneymom posted that she could add upper division classes to her schedule on mymav. but then it kicked her out at the end..
  8. @mckinneymom would it let you go that far before today??
  9. Idk when you took pharm, but I know for a fact that her most recent final from this past summer was based mostly from old test questions. There were also a few that were reworded from other test questions, and a few brand new questions. Professor Todd told us that she was redoing all of the tests and that our class was the first to have these tests... Idk if maybe you took her class before the summer or what. But my final was definitely mostly previous test questions. She could have changed it for this semester again, so I wouldn't base all your studying on old tests but I would definitely take the time to print out the old tests and understand what the correct answers are and why they are correct. This is my advice from my experience with Todd's online final, its becoming apparent that everyone's experiences are different depending on when you took the class... Hope this helps the current pharm students!! And don't give up on pharm just yet, you're almost finished, and the feeling you get from completing that final is the best feeling ever!! (that was by far the most difficult class I've taken so it was an especially good feeling seeing the A on blackboard!!!) haha. Goodluck to all of you taking your patho/pharm finals soon!:)
  10. Yes! I had Todd, I remember feeling the same way about the final! I don't remember exactly, but I think she might have sent out a blueprint for the final as well... Don't mark my words on that, but I thInk she did! Haha. I took her class over the summer, so I would assume that her final would be similar to my final. For our class she was redoing all of the tests, so it was even tough for our TA to tell us what exactly to study and focus on! I hope this helps!:)
  11. To those of you who were asking about he pharmacology online final, I dont know if its different depending on teacher/semester but i printed out all of my previous exams and used those during the final and found that 95% of my final was taken exactly from my previous exams. Again, I don't know if this varies due to teacher/coach/ semester, but from my experience, I would print them out and study them just in case! :)
  12. no problem! let us know how it goes! :)
  13. I personally think that they monitor these websites and laugh so hard at all of us, and secretly plan to torture us as long as possible! Like this is ridiculous. For the other program that I got into, we already have had orientation and we have alreary bought our skills pack, and out scrub orders are due soon. So if I get into uta all that money goes down the drain. I'm so fed up, they really need to get it together!!!!! > ughhh!
  14. YAYYYYY! best news ive heard all YEAR! hurry mr. mailman!! :)
  15. @kaystartz will you post on here as soon as you get your letter?? We don't get mail until 4 or 5 pm, and those days drag on and on! So a little heads up would be sooo nice! :)
