Alas! Here I go again! This thread is dedicated to all hopefuls to either of the programs- AP or traditional. Let's partake in the sharing of ideas, suggestions, and/or insight in the "intricacies" of this nursing program. Former grads, new or current students are encouraged to chat. Knowledge is power, indeed! Continued blessings and success to all! Good Luck!
Called the Nursing Dept. Yesterday afternoon 4:15 or so. Was told letter HAVE been mailed. We should know this week or early next week depending on the mail service. We shall see.....
Good luck everybody !
Isn't THAT odd that I was told face-to-face today at 1pm something different than you were told at 4:15pm yesterday, although I did tell her I was an applicant to the "traditional" program, maybe that was the difference?

I asked specifically about the AP BSN Spring 2012 letters, not the traditional program. Sorry for the mixup. I will also believe it when I see it as everything keeps changing at UTA.
I personally think that they monitor these websites and laugh so hard at all of us, and secretly plan to torture us as long as possible! Like this is ridiculous. For the other program that I got into, we already have had orientation and we have alreary bought our skills pack, and out scrub orders are due soon. So if I get into uta all that money goes down the drain. I'm so fed up, they really need to get it together!!!!! > ughhh!

Same thing here. I've got to be at UT Tyler-Palestine next Wednesday for drug testing. I almost just want to give up and commit to Palestine and start building my life around that, BUT that is going to require a move, finding a new job, etc, all in a VERY short time if I don't get accepted into UTA.
I am not familiar with that program. I didn't apply to the Longview Campus.
I saw that you've applied to UT-Tyler, which is about 45 minutes from Good Shepherd Medical Center. They have UT students there all the time. I was wondering if you had applied to be partnered with Good Shepherd. Their program is rather new and they were looking for applicants. They're taking 20 applicants as opposed to 10 and only had 16 students for Fall. Just curious. I'm hoping that not many people applied for the Good Shepherd partnership. That will definitely increase my chances. :)
Have any of you applied to any adn programs?
I have in the past (El Centro) but decided against it for the Spring 2012 start date. I hope that doesn't come back to haunt me. Hopefully, I'll receive good news in the next coming weeks. I'm trying to stay hopeful, but it has proven to be somewhat difficult.
Good luck to you!
