Alas! Here I go again! This thread is dedicated to all hopefuls to either of the programs- AP or traditional. Let's partake in the sharing of ideas, suggestions, and/or insight in the "intricacies" of this nursing program. Former grads, new or current students are encouraged to chat. Knowledge is power, indeed! Continued blessings and success to all! Good Luck!
I will tell you all that I spoke with Penny this afternoon and she told me that letters for the academic partnership should go out on Monday. There was an increase in applications, staff turn-over and a system change. All of these things have delayed letters...of course, as the millionth person to suggest, it would be nice if they would communicate this to us - but they haven't and life will go on.
I have tried to sneak around the system and see if my major code changed in My Mav or if I could infact register for the Junior level courses for Spring...but alas...that effort was useless...
Ughhh I hate the waiting game...you think we were all waiting on organs!
Had an exhausting evening waiting literally 4 hours to see advisor to get clearance to register but I did. The advisor I spoke with said they should be getting letters out next week. We shall see. I did leave a little disheartened when she said my stats (4.0 Science GPA / 3.21 prerequisite GPA) were in a gray area. She said I would be somewhat competitive but that to be really competitive one needs at least a 3.5 GPA for both calculated GPA. I wanted to think my 4.0 Science would compensate my 3.21. I hope if I do not get first pick I at least get waitlisted and depend on others declining spots.
I do not even want to think about it anymore. I will just wait for whenever the letter comes.
I wish everyone luck, though!
kaystarz Don't get down about it! There is ALWAYS that chance. Remind yourself how difficult it is in to get in without prior hospital partnership. It doesn't make me feel completely better, but it helps. That Science GPA of your's is outstanding, and your overall is still good, so keep your chin up.
Thanks Libra1018. I really appreciate the encouragement. Im feeling more positive this morning. I didn't help that the advisor I had was not my actual advisor and she was not so friendly. Not to mention I waited so long, was hungry, tired as heck and delirious. Lol I am 3 months pregnant so I was ready to get home and drop into bed.
So here's to another week of waiting. Everyone have a relaxing weekend! :)

Yes, very frustrating! I got my mail super early this morning just to confirm everyone's response from UTA that letters have not gone out...
