Does anyone have any info on the program?

I was told that they are making it longer the last time I spoke with an advisor.

Also from a current student I heard that they had hired a pediatric NP to be director of the psych NP Program.

It is extremely hard to get info from the school. I had called them, sent an email and filled out the request for info form. Also some information online is old and incorrect.

I also applied to the program PMHNP at uta for spring 2019 start. So far i received an email that my application has been received and its complete, currently doing a thorough review and they will sent me a letter/email of acceptance when everything is finalized. How far are you in your application. Anyone has an idea how long it takes to get the letter? would love to read from those on the program too

Hi Luci,

I am still waiting to receive an email on admission status. I completed my application in August. The admission person I spoke with I think said that the end of September is when they send out the letters. From what I was told that is all long as you meet the admission criteria you should be accepted.

Thanks for writing back. I applied early September, and my status reads waiting review from graduate advisor. I hope your admission status gets updated soon. So i haven't received the email/letter yet of acceptance, but will keep waiting. As you say it hard to receive any information from school. Have you been looking at other programs or you are set on UTA?.

Where does it show your status at?

I have have a spot saved for me at another school if UTA does not work out.

my status just reads waiting review from graduate advisor. I will check on the one you waiting on, never heard about it before. I will update you on any info i receive from uta. Sorry i could not be able to PM you due to not meeting the criteria as per now.

UTA said that they do not update the online profile with an acceptance status. They will send out an email for acceptance.

Has anyone gotten an acceptance letter/email?

Hey there An folks. I'm a long time AN member and my program is actually BSN to PhD however. . .

Since you guys have all applied to PMHNP program at UTA I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to chat with my husband who is looking to attend this program. He's a current BSN RN with 16 years experience. We are local to UTA so this program would be great.

Thanks for answering Luci! Actually he wants info that is much more relevant to the stage you are at, having just finished the application process. I received the acceptance email on November 6th. TiffyRN, I'll know more about the program after orientation next month.

One of my coworkers has been in the program for sometime and she says, that it is really disorganized although the education is good.

Another coworker said, that the program is tough, and that there are a lot of exams. This coworker switched to Walden for an easier work/life balance. From what I have heard is that Walden has their students write a lot of papers.
