UTA Spring 2021 AO BSN/BSN Cohort

Published

Is anyone else applying this June for the Spring 2021 Cohort, either the AO BSN or the BSN?

I'm currently taking CHEM 1451 and STAT 1308. If I pass these classes all I have left are Path and Pharm. I received a B for Microbiology, so I will be retaking that I think, and most likely CHEM & STAT. I received a C for the HIST 1312 US History since 1865, I took it at UTA, if I retake it at my local community college can I ask to replace the grade? Additionally, does anyone know if an Associate's in Science counts as a previous degree?

Don't forget!

  • Check your vaccinations! Start getting them squared away now! Especially the Hep B titers.
  • If you're from outside the US and have had the BCG vaccine, you will need the T-Spot or QuantiFERON blood test (which you probably already knew).
  • TEAS should be taken no later than 4/1/2020 (per the advisor).

Application deadline is June 1st!

It's because I am super old LOL. These credits were from last century. I am not sure why they didn't give me full credit for my classes. It would be a lot easier for me! My old college had been hunting them down in old file cabinets but then corona hit! And I am from Oregon where they locked down fairly quickly. And do I submit to the nursing department or to admissions?

Hey Chelsey- what are your questions, I will answer the best that I can.

Just want to be success within the programs. Just wanted a little more insight on everything. Just generalize the do’s and don't’s

Admission are the ones that evaluate transfer transcripts and also decides which class is eligible for transfer.

I have a question. I'm looking into mymav. and it shows "no active application"! anyone is seeing this too?

I don't receive any communication from the advisors, especially I couldn't take patho this Summer. am I in trouble?

Check your Mav email. Did you get one saying your application was submitted?

Mine disappeared too but I was still able to access under academic progress. At least I could tell they had been in there because they put no plan in app under my three classes that are in question.

Yes I received this email, I guess I'm fine in this case. Thank you

Yep- good to go!

@Chelsey

I haven’t been officially accepted yet but with my total points I am pretty confident that I will be starting in January. I have been through more than a few training programs ( military medic, military LVN, civilian paramedic, MBA, etc) and I think the following principles apply.

1. Work as hard as you can- over studying is not a bad thing, especially when the health and lives of others depend on your knowledge.

2. Focus on what’s in front of you now- you may want to go on and be an NP, CRNA, MD, etc but none of that happens if you aren’t knocking things out of the park right now.

3. This will seem counterintuitive to #2 but study to master the material not to just make an A- we all have those classes ( history...LOL) that we learned how to get a great grade but didn’t focus on mastery.

4. don't PROCRASTINATE

5. Have a routine

6. Celebrate small successes

7. BELIEVE in yourself

Thank you so much

Anyone hear back that there was a problem with their application? I’m fighting for credits from my bachelor degree from Oregon. I had to promise to take classes from Dallas county community but my application still says no plan in app ?

Did anyone take Patho with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME)? How was it?
