UTA Spring 2021 AO BSN/BSN Cohort

Published

Is anyone else applying this June for the Spring 2021 Cohort, either the AO BSN or the BSN?

I'm currently taking CHEM 1451 and STAT 1308. If I pass these classes all I have left are Path and Pharm. I received a B for Microbiology, so I will be retaking that I think, and most likely CHEM & STAT. I received a C for the HIST 1312 US History since 1865, I took it at UTA, if I retake it at my local community college can I ask to replace the grade? Additionally, does anyone know if an Associate's in Science counts as a previous degree?

Don't forget!

  • Check your vaccinations! Start getting them squared away now! Especially the Hep B titers.
  • If you're from outside the US and have had the BCG vaccine, you will need the T-Spot or QuantiFERON blood test (which you probably already knew).
  • TEAS should be taken no later than 4/1/2020 (per the advisor).

Application deadline is June 1st!

Hey y'all. Has anyone gotten any info back about your application? I am missing three classes (because they only gave me 2 credits for my 3 credit classes from my Bachelor's). I was in the processing of obtaining the syllabi (from 1994-1995) when Covid hit. I put in my app that I took them then and they said I have no info about them in my app and I needed to reply within 5 business days or they will remove my application. But then I read that they only answer BSN ap questions on Thursdays. My plan was if they wouldn't accept my credits I would retake at Dallas County but now I am freaking out that they won't find my return email in the next 5 days. I am sure they are overwhelmed right now with students.

I haven't gotten any email from them yet. When did they sent you this email?

They sent it yesterday. The same person also asked me about an ADN program I had been admitted. I emailed back and said I never started but had to withdraw because my husband got transferred.

WOW!! that means they have started the ranking process. I pray you able to rectify your two or three missed classes that was not transfer. Wait a minute! How did they know you were admitted to an ADN program?

It asks in the application if you have ever been admitted to a nursing program previously. I hadn’t started it but I figured I should include it.

OK that make sense

Yes, they also sent me an email last week about Patho and Tech. Writing. That if I wasn’t enrolled my app would be disregarded. So I got a picture of my unofficial transcript showing I’m currently enrolled and they emailed back that I’m good to go. So they are definitely starting the ranking process.

That's great news! I am starting to get very anxious now. Hope we all get accepted ?

There is a facebook group, UTA CONHI that has great info that is searchable.

So the advisor got back to me and said that my courses needed to be three hour credit classes, which they were, they only gave me 2 credits for them, even though I have graduated from college already. I am not sure the best process to go about fixing this. She said I just needed a plan for my application. Can I say that I am registering at DCCCD for them ( and I will register just in case) but continue the petition process?

If you can prove to them that the classes were three credits not two via may be the syllabus or something, then there is no need for petition or retaking them. Print out the syllabus online and email it to the admission department. They're the ones that made the mistake.
