Are there any current or recent UTA in campus students who can give me an idea of what the first semester is like?

I have a few friends in that program and it sounds like its great!:) Great as in ALOT:)

They have their skills spread out through the entire program (unlike mine, they are all up front) so that helps as far as "load" goes.

It does also help to have your "other" classes already done so you can concentrate on the nursing courses.

It is VERY competitive! Good job for getting in if you already have!
