UTA Fall 2018

Published

It seems that no one has started a thread for the Fall 2018 program applicants, so I figured I would rally us all together to support one another and share our experiences, stats, and where we are in the application process!

I also had a great experience with the first exam! I love he me teaching and testing style ❤️

I am applying for Fall 2018 and I currently go to a community college in Bryan/ College Station. I have an overall gpa of 3.89 with As in A&P 1, Chem and Bio. I am in A&P 2 and micro at the moment. I made an 88.57 on the Hesi before i had taken any A&P or Chem. What do yall think my chances of getting in are?

Reading: 90

Grammar: 92

Vocab: 94

Math: 92

A&P: 68 (before i had taken any a&p)

Specializes in SICU, CCRN.

May 2018 UTA grad here, it's a great program and I wish you the best of luck. Side note; if anyone needs XS/S scrubs for the program, I have some. ;)

I have applied for Fall AO BSN. I am taking patho right now, but that's my last class, so not sure what I will do if I don't get it. It appears to me that it weighs heavily to be already partnered with a hospital. My GPA and test scores are excellent, but I do not have that partnership and I was waitlisted in the fall. I was taking patho and pharm at the time, so when I found out I was waitlisted I went ahead and dropped patho to lighten my load. I'm really hoping I get in and "what to do next" won't be an issue! Good luck everyone!

Congrats on your upcoming graduation! Where did you do your clinicals? Are there any LVNs in the program?

Im in Patho to. How are you doing in it?

I have no considerations, and my overall GPA is 3.85 and my science is 4.0. HESI scores are 90, 92, 96, 96.

I'm really scared about my odds of getting in now since you said that you were wait-listed. I'm terrified, to be honest.

HESI 83

3.87 overall GPA

3.75 science GPA

40 hours at UTA completed.

I am currently taking Patho and I have 4 GE's between spring and summer.

I am applying for the College Station area as my first choice & Houston as #2.

Fingers crossed!!!

I am also in B/CS area. Have you taken pharm or patho?

Thanks! I'm excited to be done. I got to do clinicals at Methodist Charlton and Dallas, Children's in Dallas, Texas Harris and UTSW. All of my friends had no prior experience, but I'm sure there are LVNs in the program.

I applied to the UTA on campus program for Fall 2018.

Science GPA - 3.75

Prereq GPA - 3.635

HESI - 94.5%

TEAS - 87.65%

I also have 2 considerations. Super nervous, this is the only school I applied to and I would hate to have to wait another semester....

I know you are! Did you do the online or on campus program? I can only do online and I'm in the Houston area, which is competitive from what I have read. They also said they compare you against others in the same area where you do clinicals, as far as who is accepted. Have you heard this?
