UTA Fall 2018

Published

It seems that no one has started a thread for the Fall 2018 program applicants, so I figured I would rally us all together to support one another and share our experiences, stats, and where we are in the application process!

I haven't applied just yet and still have to take my TEAS before I can, but I'm fairly confident in my ability to perform well on the TEAS as all of the practice TEAS I've taken have been relatively simple and non-challenging. My pre-req GPA is 3.87, my science GPA is 4.0, and I have (I think) no considerations. I'm pretty confident about my chances, but then again, it's a very competitive program, and I could use the support of others going through the same thing. I'm going to be applying for the AO BSN program and possibly the on-campus program!

I haven't applied yet either, I am applying to both online and on campus.

Good luck, dallase62! How many more classes do you have left before the start of the program?

Good luck to you too! I am just taking 3 classes that I need patho, pharm and an upper level elective. How bout yourself?

Actually, those are the three classes I need! I'm taking medical terminology and patho in the spring and then I'll be taking pharm in the summer!

Ahh me too! i am taking the med term that ends in March! Best of luck with your classes. I hear patho is really demanding too, hope we both do well!

Hello everyone! I am applying for Fall 2018 as well (AO). My current stats are 4.0 science GPA and 3.5 overall. Hopefully that'll increase once my transcript is evaluated for this semester. I have one consideration (previous bachelors) and I will be taking the Hesi at the end of the month. I'm really anxious about this process!

I'm also so anxious right now. Especially about my transcript and everything getting in on time.

Right! I am waiting on mine to be updated and I am praying that I wont have any issues with my Hesi scores being submitted. I've seen people say they experienced a delay.

I literally just applied.

I technically work with a partnered facility, I am an HCA employee but I work in Austin not Dallas so I don't know how that factors into everything. The advisors didn't really answer my question with that.

I will also have 30 hours at UTA completed.

I will finish up micro, pathophys, and pharm (and English classes) over the spring and summer.

I am hoping to get into a spot in San Antonio so I can commute easily. Anyone know how many spot there are? I am REALLY hoping that I get in. My back up plan is an RN program, but I really just want to do an accelerated BSN program.

I took the HESI today and it was pretty easy. I maybe spent 6 hours this week studying for it.

With those considerations you're set!!!!
