UTA Fall 2018

It seems that no one has started a thread for the Fall 2018 program applicants, so I figured I would rally us all together to support one another and share our experiences, stats, and where we are in the application process!

I won't be taking the AP section, thankfully! Only the sections required for UTA. I'm so glad that you had an easy time with those sections. It makes me feel a bit better.

Your stats are really strong! Did you apply for on campus or ao? I heard Urban is the best for patho. Good luck in the course.

I applied for both but I really want on campus. I'm sort of nervous about not having those face to face interations.

How did y'all access your HESI scores from Evolve after you took your HESI? Like the pdf file?

I took my HESI today! I made an average of 94, and I finally applied! So excited.

Does anyone have credits that they need to transfer in order to apply to the program that haven't exactly been uploaded into the system yet? I turned in my transcript today, because it had my chemistry, federal government, and History 2 grades on it. My advisor told me that it doesn't matter too much when I get the transcript turned in because they don't even start looking at the applications until about two weeks after the deadline.

Hey everyone! I applied to the Fall 2018 AO program and my stats are 4.0 science gpa, 3.84 cumulative gpa, and I (unfortunately) took the TEAS test which I found to be pretty challenging... I only made an 83 cumulative score on it, despite some intense studying the month beforehand. I feel like I could have knocked the HESI out of the park because it was the A&P section on the TEAS that really brought down my overall average. Bummer! Anyway, I don't have any other considerations so hopefully my GPAs are enough to get me in! Oh, and I'm currently taking Patho and Intro to Nursing. I'll take Legacy of the Fam and Technical Writing later this semester, and Pharm in the summer.

Same here. I wanted to transfer in an English class but they said they were backed up with transcript evaluations :(

I also applied for the Fall 2018 online program.

My science GPA is a 3.5 (but I am retaking one of them to get a 4.0).

My overall GPA is about a 3.5/3.6

HESI average of 94%

I have two considerations.

I applied for the DFW area.

I am also currently taking Patho and I will take Pharm in the summer

Are you doing well in patho? How did you do on the first exam? I took mine yesterday, and I liked the style of the questions.

Doing great! The first test definitely wasn't as difficult as I expected. I feel much better now that the first test is done.

In yalls' MYMAV, does it show a pending app? Mine shows nothing. It says I have no pending applications. I emailed about it and am waiting to hear back.
