It seems that no one has started a thread for the Fall 2018 program applicants, so I figured I would rally us all together to support one another and share our experiences, stats, and where we are in the application process!
Hi everyone!
Im currently in the lower division AO BSN program at UTA. I have been finishing up my pre reqs this fall. I am a positive person but I have several friends in the program who have spoken to advisors about GPAs and acceptance rates in the past. There have been students win 4.0s that were wait listed to both programs. All in all we should all remain positive but there have been students with 3.25 GPAs that have been accepted as well. It's very competitive and just from reading previous boards I don't think anyone knows if they are a "shoe" in just because of GPAs alone. I am nervous because I have all As in my science classes except chemistry (I took this past fall at UTA and made a B). That class was hard a lot of students struggled to even pass. Below are my stats! Good luck to everyone! I wish we could all get in and do this together!
overall gpa: 3.6
science gpa: 3.75
HESI: overall 95%
Considerations: previous Bachelors
taken 16 science credits at UTA
Possibly taken over 30 hours at UTA if they count any spring classes I am about to take. (I am fuzzy on this just because some previous responses from advisors).
Hello all,!I applied a few weeks ago. My Stats are 4.0 Science, 3.96 overall & 86 on HESI. I dont have any considerations so hopefully my GPA will suffice. I'm taking Patho on campus this spring with Dr. Urban, I heard she was great. Anyone else taking her Spring?
Your stats are really strong! Did you apply for on campus or ao? I heard Urban is the best for patho. Good luck in the course.
Has anyone taken the HESI? I've been over several different study guides, and they're making it sound impossibly easy, but I don't want to get surprised at the testing center. In y'all's experience, was there anything that threw you for a loop or anything I should look out for? Which section was the hardest for y'all?
