Anyone on the waitlist got a call back yet?

I have been waitlisted and was going to take Patho and Pharm during the summer so that in case I got accepted I could start in the Fall (since you can't start until all pre reqs are done), but I tried registering for those clases this past weekend and it wouldn't let me. Come to find out the deadline to register is a week before classes start and since they started today now I can't take those classes until the Fall and thus forfeit my acceptance if I do get a call back (and if I were to get accepted my admission will NOT automatically roll into the next semester, I have to reapply). I was so mad, but my advisor said there's nothing she could do.

Just overall very disappointed with UTA in general and the nursing program. It's very confusing, no one ever told me I had to register only for the "dynamic" classes either, I'm not allowed to EVER speak with anyone if I call the campus because my record shows I've applied for the AP program, and I don't like the fact that they make you take their 3 pre nursing courses there especially when you don't even know if you've got accepted or not. For those who don't get accepted that's over $3,000 down the drain.

Starting to rethink about even applying there...

Because the AP Patho and Pharm has already started.

I had hear that it may start this week or next since all those who were accepted were supposed to validate they would be starting this fall by May 11th.

I am curious if anyone has gotten called??

When I asked my advisor, she said that she hadn't heard anythign about when they may start calling but that we would probably receive a call before they knew anything! Hahaha, I guess we aren't the only ones out of the loop. Has anyone heard any updates about the waitlist? Good luck to everyone patiently waiting!

My advisor told me via email, "Calls to people on the waitlist will begin next week". She emailed this to me yesterday after I asked her :)

Anyone else in Pharm and Patho? How are you liking the classes so far? For anyone who has already taken them online, any tips/suggestions for a successful semester??

I am in Pharm and Patho. I took Patho before during my undergrad, but UTA wouldn't accept it because it was only 3 credit hours and theirs is 4. So I am taking it again....I am happy to be taking classes actually related to nursing I was getting tired of taking all those History and English pre-reqs!! I think we'll know more about what to focus on after the first test.

Well I just got offered a job at Parkland! I will be a PCA and go through the PCAT training program in July! So excited, now I am praying I get called off the waitlist from UTA!!!

Congrats Ruby! I wonder if there is some way you can notify the nursing department. That would certainly increase your chances even more so.
