Hey all, I thought I would set up a place to discuss the next application period for UTA's Fall 2012 nursing program. There was so much info in the Spring 2012 forum, thought it might be helpful to start a new thread...

Thanks everybody! I was accepted to the on campus program. My stats were 4.0 for science and 3.86 overall.

Did you have any considerations? If you don't mind me asking, what time did they call you?

I didn't have any considerations rubyredd, and they called maybe around 1 p.m. yesterday. If you have similar stats, then I would expect them to call you soon!

I am so anxious! I have been worried that the amount of pre-reqs I had left at the time of the application deadline was going to be a factor. I have them all completed now as of the end of Spring semester (with the exception of 3, which I am completing now) but I am still worried it plays a role in the decision.

I guess we will see! Congrats again! I am really happy for you!

I don't think the amount of pre-reqs you have left plays a role as long as you can show when you will complete them. It will make a difference, though, in your GPA. I am in the same boat as you and I had 6 outstanding classes when I applied in January. I have finished 3 since then with A's - but obviously that won't matter for the Fall start date:( It will boost your GPA though for Spring! I am now finishing up Amer. Lit and Path/Pharm, but Path/Pharn don't go towards your GPA for admission anyway, unfortunately.

Best of luck I am super anxious too - and wish I knew if they started calling parterned people yet!?

I just want to move on but UTA just keeps haunting me :(. I got high BP when I see a strange number calling me lol.
