Hi everyone, so i decided to go ahead and open up a forum for the 2018 spring start date. I know it might be early but hey everyone including me will have questions and become quite worried on getting in.

Brandon, I didn't know you will be taken off the waiting list if you accept the on-campus option. I totally agree, you should take the on-campus option then. Might be stressful but it will be worth it. Good Luck!

It's my understanding that once you choose one the other is off the table.

Do any Houston waitlisted people want to share their stats? Maybe we can get an idea of what we're up against. I have 4.0 science, 3.558 gpa, and 1 consideration.

This is my 3rd waitlist with these stats.

3.85 science

3.4 gpa

94 HESI

2 considerations.

All classes including Patho, Pharm & Med Term have been completed over a year ago.

The issue with Houston are the limited clinical spots. I believe they only had around 20 or so for this Fall. All the local schools take the majority of clinical spots and UTA gets what's left.

Brandon, that must be so hard. 3 times?? Have you considered retaking a science course? I'm considering retaking a couple of classes to boost my gpa. I don't want to, but I pretty much have all my eggs in the UTA basket right now. I know someone with stats very similar to mine that got into Houston today, so I'm hoping it's possible if I don't give up. Good luck!!!

You can look back to prior cohort posts on here to get at least some kind of idea. I'm trying to get an advisor on the phone but not having any luck.

Thinking of talking to another advisor to see if I can take one other class or something to graduate with something else and have that as a consideration. Not sure what else to take to get overall gpa up. Any advice

Have you considered retaking a science to get your science GPA up? So far, I haven't heard of anyone that isn't partnered getting in without a 4.0 science. But that's just from what I've seen. Good luck!
