UTA AP BSN Spring 2014

Published

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying this May for the Spring 2014 entry into the AP BSN program. I have been working on my prerequisites for the last year and still have about 5 classes left to take. I will also be taking my HESI in May. I am so excited to get the nursing program started, but really nervous as well! I will have to work full time during the program and hope that it will work out. I am currently partnered with Cook Children's. Anyone else out there fixing to apply for Spring 2014 entry?

I looked but when I look up the Junior I courses there isn't any books listed.

Hmm. I tried too, but they aren't up yet. Wonder if you could go to the fall 2013 thread and ask them. They are in the middle of it now.

Well I looked up what books that were needed for fall 2013 and the website had those listed but I'm going to wait till orientation

I have no idea. To find out to I just email my advisor? I have been wait listed again! Congrats to everyone who have been accepted!

Baespree2, what were your stats for fall 2013?

Yes! Your advisor can send you a copy of their worksheet with your taken classes, grades, and accommodations.

Also, I got a lot of good information from the meeting the they offer.

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site. I've been on it a few times before, but now I have joined. Thank you for all your posts. It has been really encouraging and informative. I received acceptance into the spring 2014 AP! I think I'm behind on the deadlines for immunization shots timeline. Can anyone recommend a place to go to get shots cheap? Will I still be able to attend the program in the spring? HELP! Thanks!

Has anyone received an email that their acceptance has been received by UTA. I sent mine in last Thursday with my employment verification and haven't heard anything yet?

Same here and I haven't heard anything either. ---- wrote me back about me sending my immunization records on Friday and she said she had not even received the acceptance list yet so she had no where to file my records. Hopefully, we will hear something by the end of the week.

Congratulations to everyone accepted for the Spring 2014 semester. While I know you're excited and full of questions, enjoy your family, friends, and leisure activities now! If you're an AP student like me, there aren't enough hours in the day to get most of what's expected of you....complete! You will learn very quickly that you will have to say No to your friends and family when they want to hang out. Not to scare you but,.....in-seat or AP, it's a lot of work. I graduate in May and can't wait for a much needed vacation and quality time with my husband and 9yr old.

Wishing you much success!

May2014

I have been looking at the threads for the AP nursing program for a while now. I decided to go forward with nursing school last fall. I took the classes I still needed for prereq. I am now taking Patho and Pharm. Loving patho, pharm is proving to be more difficult. I did get accepted into both programs! I choose the online AP program as I have 4 kids and getting to class everyday all day would be quite difficult. I am super excited for this step in my life. Good luck to everyone and I look forward to meeting everyone!
