UT Tyler nursing spring

Published

Am applying to UT tyler nursing program for spring 2015. Anyone else applying? Feel free to post comments.

I've seen pics with all different color stethoscopes. I have to do my drug test and background check still. I'm curious about the shoes too

Oh yes they are very strict on scrubs and shoes!!

I went to get my uniforms yesterday and they only have 3 styles to choose from that UTTYLER approved.. and the shoes have to be ALL WHITE CLOSED TOED LEATHER no crocs... I will find out more tomorrow at the meeting... and I will let you all know!

What kind of shoes?

The uniform place had like 4 to choose from.. and the cheapest ones were 60 and they were sketchers..the rest were nursing shoes.. I have made the mistake before buying nursemate.. I went to jcpenny and bought me a pair of solid white reebok with no holes and no mesh.. I will see tomorrow if they approve them!

I was told as long as they have no mesh or holes and are solid white leather it should be ok..

Oh geez. I'm trying to buy my stuff from a distance so I don't have anyone to tell me what they approved.

We have a meeting tomorrow so I will try to post everything I can after the meeting!!!

I want to know who all has already registered for classes for the Accelerated BSN program. Have you guys received the permission codes already? I have not and I do not know if it is because I have not met with the advisor yet or what!? Online, the myUTTyler website seems to indicate that I am eligible to register but when I do nothing happens.

Thanks for any help/advice...

LW

She hasn't sent out the codes. Don't stress

Rexjackiec, yes please post any helpful information you hear in the meeting!! It will be much appreciated :)

Hey all!! This information only pertains to ABSN....I don't have any info regarding the traditional track. The last email she sent out said that codes would be given to us before we could register. Until we get codes, no registering. I don't have facebook so I'm not sure what is going on over there in facebook land. According to an earlier post, nothing much. I went to buy uniforms and there are a couple of styles to choose from. I bought 2 pants/2 shirts and the patches and spent $118. They had to order my pants because they only had the "long" length in stock....I'm kind of tall but not that tall! The uniform store is in the Times Square Shopping Center. The advisor told me "any ALL white shoes will be fine". Let's see....I've turned in all of my shot records to the advisor, completed my drug test, and registered for CPR. The last email also stated that we should be able to register for fingerprinting soon. I was able to register online at morphotrust and made an appt for next week to get fingerprinting done here in Tyler. I think I will wait until I get the email before I proceed with that to make sure I am who they think I am. The only thing I'm not sure about are books. I'm sure that will come in another email at some point or perhaps when we register.
