  1. Thank you!!! I'll remember to breathe and try to stay calm!
  2. Congrats on passing nclex!! I take my test in 3 days. Question.....did you think uworld was more difficult or easier than nclex? I'm averaging 59% in the 7th percentile with uworld. Thanks!!
  3. I bought books individually, too. I guess we'll cross the Sim card obstacle when we get to clinicals!
  4. LW, did you get the box of books or buy separate? You're not alone. ...my nervous are shot, too!!!
  5. I can't tell the isbn from the picture shown here...I put in all the other information (title, author) and it came right up!
  6. I googled the pharmacology book....looks like you can buy it for about $100 or so from a couple of different sites. My thinking is to buy the Concepts and Patho book from the bookstore and get the Pharm book elsewhere. Seems like it would save a ton of cash going that route. Otherwise, you'll be buying the $800 package! Maybe my thinking is wrong?? If anyone else has a plan, do tell!! Happy New Year! Looking forward to meeting everyone soon!
  7. I did fingerprints in November and received blue card about 3 weeks later.
  8. I just got my blue card... It took about 3 weeks.
  9. Today I stopped by UT bookstore....I had to find out what in the world was in the $875 "box" of books. The lady in the bookstore said that the "box" would get us through most of the nursing program. She said there would be a book to buy here and there but for the most part everything was packaged to complete the program. She then proceeded to tell me that I should wait before I purchased. The reason being, she had been advised by the nursing dept that they might be putting a package together for the ABSN group. Apparently, the books listed on the website are for the traditional program. Just wanted to pass along the word. I'm going to wait awhile before purchasing and see if they change anything. Happy Thanksgiving!
  10. LW, I also take notes by hand. I'm old school!! The computer comes in handy if I need to go to the library and "google" my notes! Otherwise, I just use the desktop at home. All of the purchases are certainly going to take a hit on our wallets! I think I'll get ID and parking pass after Thanksgiving break. I have not received the blue card yet.
  11. lmkea71, if you go onto the student page in myuttyler, there is a bookstore link on the right side. I put in the class number and section and it brought up the book list.
  12. Hey everyone! I was looking at the textbooks needed for the spring classes (I am only referring to ASBN). The "package" costs around $875 dollars (can't remember the exact amount). If I were to buy the books separately, the cost would be around $320 (give or take a few bucks) if I calculated correctly. What does the "package" have that I wouldn't get otherwise? A gold bar?? :) I'm thinking I will buy separately? Anybody have any other opinions? Options? Thanks!!
  13. Thanks LW....yes, it worked with Internet Explorer. I don't show any $$ amount in the enrollment shopping cart. Do you have an amount listed?
  14. I received the permission codes today to register. However, when I attempted to register, it just kept saying processing. I'll give it a try tomorrow and see if it works.
  15. Hey all!! This information only pertains to ABSN....I don't have any info regarding the traditional track. The last email she sent out said that codes would be given to us before we could register. Until we get codes, no registering. I don't have facebook so I'm not sure what is going on over there in facebook land. According to an earlier post, nothing much. I went to buy uniforms and there are a couple of styles to choose from. I bought 2 pants/2 shirts and the patches and spent $118. They had to order my pants because they only had the "long" length in stock....I'm kind of tall but not that tall! The uniform store is in the Times Square Shopping Center. The advisor told me "any ALL white shoes will be fine". Let's see....I've turned in all of my shot records to the advisor, completed my drug test, and registered for CPR. The last email also stated that we should be able to register for fingerprinting soon. I was able to register online at morphotrust and made an appt for next week to get fingerprinting done here in Tyler. I think I will wait until I get the email before I proceed with that to make sure I am who they think I am. The only thing I'm not sure about are books. I'm sure that will come in another email at some point or perhaps when we register.
