I do not believe that is right. The fingerprinting, background check, and the CPR class are not required to register. My understanding is that all other documentation must be completed.

Maybe some of you should combine forces and rent like a quad-home? I would think that this would be beneficial as everyone is working towards the same goals. This would greatly reduce the cost of rent but perhaps require more maitenance. I am not looking for a place because I am staying with my brother while I attend college.

Hi....For the people going to Tyler...has anyone started thinking about accomodation? I live in Dallas and I am wondering if its possible to drive to Tyler daily.

I would not do that if at all possible. I mean that is 1.5 hours minimum one way and I am sure that you know how bad traffic can be in TX. Even the acceptance letter notes this and basically pleads for students to not do this. If I were you, I would check to see if some of you can join together for a place to rent. I know that this can be risky (i.e. somebody doesn't pay their share), but I don't think any of us doubt that we all want to do this so perhaps the risk is acceptable.

If you do not have kids or a pet, then I would either rent an uber-economy apartment or try to share a house with a classmate (or two or even three). Rent here is pretty high in my opinion.

Great! Unless you have question you could just email or fax me your paperwork and save you a trip. After I receive all of your documentation, besides your background/fingerprinting you will be release to sign up for classes. Registration does not begin until November 3rd. You are more than welcome to come in and see me, but there won't be anything I can do until your paperwork is turned in and registration begins.

I did mine in Longview yesterday and I had no problems.
