UT Tyler nursing spring

Hi....For the people going to Tyler...has anyone started thinking about accomodation? I live in Dallas and I am wondering if its possible to drive to Tyler daily.

They announced it in Patho. It's November 6th at 12:00. They are serving pizza and said to bring your own drink.

LoyalWeim I definitely couldn't get all of my shots in time before this Friday either! Thankfully we don't have to have everything in by then :) Does anyone know if we bring all of our documentation to the advisor appointment or if we mail it to them? I have most of my documents and don't know what to do with them!! Also- I visited the campus this weekend (I'm currently in Mississippi, but from Dallas) exciting to see where we will all be studying! And the Sim Lab looks so exciting!!

lmkea71, yes I am! I don't think I'd like to commute about an hour and half each way everyday. I also have a dog and don't want to have to hire dog walker/ dog sitter! And I need every minute possible to study :nailbiting: Hoping my boyfriend (we're pretty much married, but without the paperwork haha) can find a job to come with me and help with rent!! Are you thinking of moving to Tyler?

lmkea71 - I feel you on the time crunch! My mom went with me this weekend and we drove all around looking for houses for rent. I know there are some nice apartments across from campus! I also know you don't necessarily want to live North of Front St (31). We also looked near Mother Frances Hospital (I thought I saw a cute duplex) and there was a few low-income housing units by there so I don't personally suggest that area, but I know everyone has a different opinion and mine is not the only one!! There are some cute neighborhoods by the Loop (323) and University Blvd. The Azalea Disctict is absolutely beautiful but definitely pricey. Good luck and let me know if you find anything!

For those in the Accelerated program, how do we accept our admission? Do we have to write to them or just seeing the advisor means, you have accepted your admission?

Thanks magnis472, I just sent her an email saying I accept and cannot wait to start in January. Does anyone know if we mail/fax/email our other documents? Or if we just bring them to the appointment once we get everything together? Also- has anyone had luck yet registering for the fingerprinting/background check?
