UT Tyler BSN Fall 2017

Published

Hello Guys!! I recently applied to the Accelerated BSN at UT Tyler and do not get accepted so I am going to try for the tradition BSN fall 2017. Is anybody in the same boat or just applying to the tradition BSN?

I applied last year and got accepted but had to turn it down due to becoming pregnant. Anyways we found out mid march.

The application only added GPA and teas points. You get more points for things like being core complete and taking pathos and concepts at UT. The rubric is on the website

How do you know it's March? It took almost 3 months for the Fall Accelerated applicants to learn their fate.

I'm just going off of last year's time frame. I applied last year and got accepted. I just looked back at the day and it was March 20th when I received my acceptance letter. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go but if they stick with that time frame we should know the end of March.

I was figuring mid-April based on comments from the patho instructor.

6-8 weeks from deadline date is what Tammie Cooper at Tyler campus has said. So anywhere from March 15-29.

The patho instructor said the first 3 maybe 4 tests would be used to "determine who would be invited to join us in the fall". I took that to mean that while we may have a high point on the application, that the test results would be a factor as well. Such as, all applications being equal, the higher test average would come first for acceptance.

She did say that to us too however, I wasn't even in Patho or concepts yet last year when I got accepted. Neither were a lot of other people.

Maybe there are fewer slots or they anticipate a lot of people to be equal-ish that they need another determining factor. I think this is also the first application with the interview instead of straight point calculations---that may factor too.

Long story short---who knows? :-)

i just want to know now. Lol

Wait there's an interview?

There was interview video we had to submit.

Is there another calculation form? I only saw the gray number at the bottom of the application.
