  1. Have you met with the advisor yet? I only ask because i didnt realize this but she has to register you for classes the first semester. I had my meeting a couple weeks ago and made my schedule. I have 1, 3 hour class on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Those 3 days those classes are only available on those days either morning or afternoon. Then I have my clinicals on Thursday and that is 8 hours. You can pick wednesday, thursday or Friday clinicals that after 6 weeks, when we actually start go to the hospital and it changes time. She said the wednesday clinic turn into Saturday clinicals and Thursday and Friday are still Thursday and Friday just 2 hours earlier. She did say that the Thursday one was almost full. Hope this helps and doesn't confuse you more.
  2. I want to say we were told midsummer but I could be wrong.
  3. Is there anyone else in here going to UT longview campus?
  4. The advisor told me that they actually don't do that anymore because they've started getting too many applicants at all campuses. I heard that this year they got a 170ish applicants for Longview and only picked 35. I'm not sure if that's true though. The first time I applied you could pick one campus and then another as a secondary but this time you couldn't do that so I called an asked the advisor and that's what I was told. Maybe since they have had such an increase will start expanding and so they can accept more within the next few years. Who knows though they may decide to take more since they have had so many applicants and call some of those on the waitlist.
  5. There has to be a list. The acceptance letter even said if you do respond to accept or deny by a certain date your name will be removed from the list to give other applicants the opportunity to attend.
  6. Did the advisor have any suggestions for you? I feel like your stats are really good and I am not sure what you could do different or why you didn't get in.
  7. Oh yeah I recall seeing that know the application. I feel like the class would be the same regardless of where it was taken.
  8. Kchamb, I just asked one of my friends from 2 years ago that was picked as an alternate and she said her email that she got didn't say she was denied or accepted all it said was the class was full at the current time. 2 weeks later she got email saying that there was an opening.
  9. Awesome congrats. For some reason I had a feeling they weren't going to make us wait until after that third test.
  10. Oh no, so sorry guys. I thought they said they weren't sending out for 2 weeks. I have heard spring is easier because not as many apply. Definitely reapply. Good luck.
  11. just got my acceptance letter for the Longview campus. I couldn't be more stoked. Good luck to those who applied to Tyler. Hopefully you'll hear soon.
  12. I'm just don't think it's Fair. They said within 8 weeks and I feel like they should stick with that for those who are coming from out of town they need to be able to know what they're going to do next semester. Also, the first time I applied I hadn't even taken patho or concept yet I was still in A&P2. When I got accepted I signed up for patho and Concepts in the summer. So what about those people they get in because they haven't taken it yet and there's no third test to judge. Also what if you're failing after the third test but you still have a chance with the fourth test and the final to bring it up to passing. I think they should just judge off what you've turned in on the application and if you haven't passed patho and concepts by the time fall comes then you lose your spot.
  13. Wow, April that's a long time. Talk about anticipation. I think for Longview campus we will find out next week because I spoke with the advisor again 2 days ago and she said it'll be for sure next week when they send them out. I hope shes right. We will see next week.
  14. Well, I applied for Longview since it's closer to home so it could be different for Tyler but she said we would definitely know next week so if they use the 3rd test it would have to be Friday. The anticipation is killing me. Its the only one I applied to and I am anxious to know if I'll be going to school next semester or not.
