UT Tyler BSN Fall 2017

Hello Guys!! I recently applied to the Accelerated BSN at UT Tyler and do not get accepted so I am going to try for the tradition BSN fall 2017. Is anybody in the same boat or just applying to the tradition BSN?

As long as you complete themy by the time you start the program not before applying you're good.

Does this include the summer ? Or does it have to be taken in the spring?

I want to apply but I most likely won't because I'm at a community college so I can't take Patho- or can I take it the summer before nursing school starts?

I believe you can take it during the summer. Which is what I would have to do because I haven't taken it yet.

I applied in fall 2016 and was accepted and had to turn it down due to becoming pregnant. Just re-applied for the Longview campus for fall 2017 and excited. Good luck everyone.

What are your stats if you don't mind me asking?

GPA 3.75 in sciences and 3.62 overall. 87 overall in TEAS. Points wise I have 79 without counting the video. I would suspect I'll have 85-89 points after the video is scored.

I intend to apply for the Fall 2017 traditional track. I just took my TEAS today and am not too happy with it. I don't know if I should retake or not so maybe y'all can offer some advice.

My GPA is 3.4 and the TEAS is 88. Using their web form for calculation, I have 77pts before the video.

Since I am so close to the next level on TEAS (need a 90.7 for Exemplary) should I test again in hopes of increasing so that I can add 5pts to the nursing application? Or, do y'all think I should just let it be?

I have no clue and their site offers no input. 100pts maximum.

The TEAS report said the UT program average is 70.4 so I think I'll ride it out. I do speak with an advisor next week and I will bring it up to see what input she can offer. Next weekend is the last opportunity to test before the application deadline.
