I'm starting this thread for anybody who applied to UT Southwestern's Summer 2022 Nurse Residency. Hoping we can keep each other updated. I selected critical care as my #1 choice and Labor & Delivery as my #2. Hoping we can keep each other updated. Good luck everybody!

Hi. They only accept applications from BSN nurses. The only way to apply with an ADN is to already be an employee at UTSW so you should be good. I’ll be graduating with an ADN in May and starting my residency in the ICU at UTSW in July.

Hi y'all, I was hired onto the L&D unit, and I am super excited to start. Did any of y'all ask about relocation assistance for any who were hired on from out of state. I know that some non-residency jobs offer it, but I am wondering if UTSW offers it for this Nurse Residency Program?

I haven't been scheduled for an interview either for acute surgical, hopefully this week he'll email them out

Hello, does anyone knows if UTSW will rescind the offer if you fail the NCLEX before the start date?

I interviewed with acute medical March 16th and heard back on March 23rd

Yes I accepted an offer on 10 green, they told me it is basically a step down unit (not critical enough for ICU but not stable enough for a medsurg floor) There were 7 different managers though so 7 acute care floors. Honestly most of the acute care floors sound like medsurg floors to me.
