I'm starting this thread for anybody who applied to UT Southwestern's Summer 2022 Nurse Residency. Hoping we can keep each other updated. I selected critical care as my #1 choice and Labor & Delivery as my #2. Hoping we can keep each other updated. Good luck everybody!

Can anyone tell me the structure of the UTSW residency program? Totally forgot to ask!

They said it’s 18-20weeks of new hire orientation, learning equipment specific to your floor, classroom time I believe, and precepting. After that 18-20week time span, you’ll be on your own with your own patient load but in the residency bc it has to be for a year.

I interviewed with the all of the critical care teams on 3/16. I just received a call today from my recruiter that I got an offer in the MICU!

Hey guys! Have any of ya'll heard back from the recruiter lately? It's gona be two weeks since my interview this Wednesday and I haven't heard back, I've been checking my email like every two hours haha

Hey, everyone. I work at UTSW and will be applying for the nurse residency next Spring. I wanted to ask if anyone here applied but doesn't have BSN yet? I will be ADN then entering an RN-BSN program next fall.
