UT Southwestern Nurse Residency Summer 2022

Nurses Residency

Published

I'm starting this thread for anybody who applied to UT Southwestern's Summer 2022 Nurse Residency. Hoping we can keep each other updated. I selected critical care as my #1 choice and Labor & Delivery as my #2. Hoping we can keep each other updated. Good luck everybody!

Does anyone know how much base pay and differentials is for residents?

I was told previous residents were paid $29 but I know they've recently raised their wages in the last year. Also they have the best benefits in the city.

Hello! I have an interview for ICU. I did ED as second choice and haven’t heard back for that one yet.

Hi everyone! As an update, I interviewed for the ambulatory clinics yesterday and the OR today.
Does anyone happen to know if UTSW offers relocation bonus/reimbursement for residents? I forgot to ask, but so far I think only Medical City does that.

I had my interview for the PCU this morning and then 2 hours later the recruiter called me to extend me an offer!!

Congratulations!!

What type of questions did they ask if you don’t mind sharing

They asked common questions such as:

Why do you want to be a nurse?

Why UT?

Why this units?

How would you contribute to this unit?

& other very common behavioral questions as well. Good luck!
