I am new to this site. Please help. I am still waiting for any updates on admission status on UT link. Is any one still waiting or has everyone who is admitted already have an answer?

For those of you who have not heard anything yet, just wait till the letter comes in. Dont get too down just yet, maybe you will be waitlisted, or a spot will open up. Dont give up.

hey guys i know a lot of people have been wondering what exactly the pacesetters program consists of since there's not a lot of information about it yet. i emailed someone at the school and this is what they replied with...

you will be in clinical during the first semester, just like the traditional students. this will be the first medical/surgical nursing course and will include basic patient care with fundamental skills. in the second semester, you will complete the clinical (with the didactic) for psychiatric/mental health nursing in addition to skills lab and observation experiences in other courses. in the third semester, you will have a small number of clinical hours for the gerontology nursing course and again there will be some labs, simulations, and observation experiences. in the fourth semester, you will complete the clinical hours for the second medical/surgical nursing course, maternity nursing, pediatrics, community, and critical care.

your schedule for the first semester will be the same as the traditional students. i am not sure what information will be included with the acceptance packet, but we will probably meet with all of the pacesetter students at a time prior to orientation and then again at orientation (separate from the traditional students). if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

If those who got positive replies and those who are still waiting could please tell what letter your last names begin with maybe those of us waiting would get an idea if they are updating the status alphabetically.

Mine stars with a Z, I am hoping thats the reason that I haven't seen any updates so far. Hope its not just wishful thinking :).

My last name starts with an E but I think someone previously said that they had spoken to someone in admissions who said they weren't updating in any particular order. Maybe you should call admissions tomorrow if you are worried. :)
