Thanks to hawkinsrv we now have a facebook group. I know from reading alot of peoples comments on here that there are many of you that would like to create a bond such as the one from previous application periods so here is the link again if you havn't seen it in previous threads.

Seriously? You posted the actual essay topic? How fair is this to those of us who interviewed early on with 0 time to prepare? You better believe I'm taking a screenshot of this and reporting it to the UTHSC.

There were countless other ways to assist applicants with out revealing the essay topic. Thanks for making this decision for the rest of us. Your act of "help" was quite selfish.

Juniper, I apologize if you feel this was unfair but these exact same questions are written all over this forum from previous semesters as well. As for you contacting UT, that is fine if you feel you must. I personally would suggest you read over spring 2010. There was a person with great NET scores and a solid 4.0 who did not get in. I will not give the name I will let you find it. This person did not get in because of there attitude. This person also felt the need to contact UT and "voice" their opinions. Yet I know you must do what you feel is right for you and I understand completely. Again I would like to wish you and all others on this forum good. I will not be posting here anymore because it seems depressing and not supportive. I have a lot of info I would be willing to share from book lists to syllabi for all classes since I did attend the first week but I see that would be viewed as an unfair advantage. I will stick with sharing only with those on facebook who are current students that way no problems.

Yes I am on facebook now. I was accepted spring 10. I did not "leave". The problem was trying to get my immunization report in on time so I could register. I was notified of my acceptance right before orientation so I did not have as much time as the others. I could not find my immunization report so I have to get the blood test to prove I had the immunity to those (it's called a titers test) but the results of this did not come back in tme for me to register. UT did require me to attend the first week althought I was not registered so I would not get behind. I guess they were hoping as was I that the report would have come in before the deadline. It didn't and yes I did have to interview all over again.

Oh sorry, I didn't mean the leave part in a rude way. I was just confused...I understand now. Wow, you really got the short end of the stick in that sitution. That's not fair to you, although I'm sure if you made it before...your gonna make it again!! :)

LOL. That's ok I knew what you meant with the leave part. Also like someone else said that gave me a good answer to how I handle disappointment. ;)

lol I don't have one because I was one of those "only myspace" people hahaha but I don't even have that anymore because it's a lot of drama from people who don't have anything better to do (myspace, i mean).. So my bf and I agreed not to have one. It's actually nice bcuz ppl cant use the internet as a way to be annoying to me lol..

If I get into the program I think I'll make a facebook and join a group on there for UT Houston students to be in touch with my classmates in case I need help, etc. but for now I'll just use this website :)
