UT Health Pacesetter Spring 2019

Published

I know its a bit early to start this forum seeing as the deadline is September 1; however, I wanted to have a place to communicate with all the people applying for the spring semester. we might be able to help each other out with information about deadlines, application status, plus its also nice to talk with people going through the same thing as you. I'll just start by introducing myself.

My name is Edera,

I am currently a senior in High School. I will be graduating High School with my Associate's degree, thanks to the dual credit classes I have been taking. When I finish High School I will have 40 of the 60 credit hours completed. I will be taking Chemistry, Microbiology, and Growth & Development in the Summer, and then Intro to Sociology, Statistics, and Nutrition in the Fall. I have yet to take my Hesi, I plan on taking it in June or August. I plan on starting the application this week.

Hope to see many of you here, so that we are able to help out one another. Good Luck everyone!! xhappy2.png.pagespeed.ic.zjIVMhQq4z.webp

Wow that's the best HESI score I've ever seen!

Thank you! My computer actually crashed in the middle of my reading section, and right before that it was lagging, so I clicked the submit button twice. After it crashed and I had to be rebooted and moved to a different station, it had skipped over a question, so I missed one bc of that. With that and then being frazzled afterwards, I'm glad I still came out with a good score. I'm just hoping I get in, but who really knows how they chooose? The selection process seems so mysterious lol

@ph0603 Your score is amazing! How did you make it?!

Thanks! I've always been a pretty good test-taker, but I did study for this one. I only just started my AP2 class the day before the HESI, so I had to learn all the body systems on my own. Maybe the pressure of that made me over-prepare lol. Of course, the irony is that I made a 100 on AP but then nearly all my missed points were in Reading haha. For math, I didn't study anything other than memorize a few of the conversions (that I didn't end up needing on the exam), and I did a quick crash course online in Roman numerals (bc oddly enough, I don't think we really learned them in school). For vocab and grammar, I didn't study that much for other than review some of the grammatical terminology and rules that aren't really commonly adhered to. I probably spent the majority of my time just teaching myself all the content of AP2.

do you actually see something called "to do" on your application? I don't see that. There is a "tasks" tab, but nothing comes up when i click on that.

Yes. On mine it appears under the "tasks" tab

Is it just me or is the applyUTH website not working? I've reset my password a million times and yet it still shows an invalid password link...

I was able to login, but I didn't have to reset my password. I know one time I had too and it didn't work so I ended calling the help desk and they fixed it for me.

That was happening to me. If you leave the browser up, sometimes it seems to do that. I closed the window and loaded a new one, basically refreshing the whole thing.

Thanks! I just had to call them and all the guy said was "ok now try logging back in and see if it works" lolol

I still have 2 prerequisites that I am currently taking, and under my to do list it says I still need to send the transcript from the school where I am taking them. When I called about a month ago, they said the transcript would not leave my to do list until after I was finished with the prerequisites and sent in my transcript. However, when I just logged on to my portal, it says that the transcript is overdue. Is anyone else seeing this?

I have it as well. For some reason UTH and my home university are having MAJOR miscommunucation. I called admissions and they said it doesn't matter until if and when you get admitted. It doesnt affect your chances of getting in

I am having the same issue. I am currently enrolled in my remaining prereqs for fall. I called admissions to see if they received my transcript; I left a message last week but haven't heard back.

When I spoke to the third party responsible for electronic transcript transfer, they told me it was delivered on Aug 24. I submitted it as soon as my summer session grades were in.

The problem for me is that I took nearly all my prereqs over the past year at this school, and if they don't have the transcript, then they won't have the information needed to admit me.

I would recommend calling them directly.
