UT Health Pacesetter Spring 2019

Published

I know its a bit early to start this forum seeing as the deadline is September 1; however, I wanted to have a place to communicate with all the people applying for the spring semester. we might be able to help each other out with information about deadlines, application status, plus its also nice to talk with people going through the same thing as you. I'll just start by introducing myself.

My name is Edera,

I am currently a senior in High School. I will be graduating High School with my Associate's degree, thanks to the dual credit classes I have been taking. When I finish High School I will have 40 of the 60 credit hours completed. I will be taking Chemistry, Microbiology, and Growth & Development in the Summer, and then Intro to Sociology, Statistics, and Nutrition in the Fall. I have yet to take my Hesi, I plan on taking it in June or August. I plan on starting the application this week.

Hope to see many of you here, so that we are able to help out one another. Good Luck everyone!! xhappy2.png.pagespeed.ic.zjIVMhQq4z.webp

Hey guys! Has anyone been taken off the waitlist?

@nkyoung00 hello I was wondering if you are still looking for a roommate in December/January. I was recently accepted for spring of January. I am 20 year old female and have been looking for a place. If you still are my email is [email protected].

Thanks

has anyone gotten in with any a science/nursing gpa of below a 3.0?

Unfortunately, no. I looked at past threads and it seems people get notified about the wait list around December 15th.

Can someone please link the thread for the UT health pacesetter summer 2019? I would really appreciate it. I cannot seem to find it anywhere.

For those who got wait listed, my application status has updated.

Anyone who is in the program now who can share how the first few weeks are going, what to expect and any words of advice for the summer 2019 hopefulls ? I also have a very random question: what is their policy for wearing nail polish? I know, weird question, but I'm genuinely curious! I see some schools allow it and some strictly forbid it..

Hope you all are doing great in this new endeavor!

For those that started the program, would you mind sharing what your average schedule looks like? Would like to know class and clinical start times, days off and such. I am trying to plan ahead ?

I just started for Summer and it is different than the regular spring and fall. We have Mondays: health assessment 7am-9. Then everyone is split into groups for lab. Labs are random assignments and begin At 9:30/11:30/1:30 and last for 2 hours.

Tuesdays: 9-12

Wednesday: The longest day. Pharmacology from 8 AM to 12 PM then pathophysiology from 1 PM to 430.

And fridays 8-12

Thanks so much for the feedback! Good to know that we're not stuck in classes every day, all day. I'm wondering how the schedule for the Fall and Spring differ from the Summer schedule.
