Hey everyone! I did not see a post for applicants for Ut Austin's Alternate Entry MSN program for 2020, so I started one! I know the application just opened a few days ago but with all everyone balances, I figure why not start now? I am applying for their PMNHP specialty.

I just got what looks like an automatic email from my status. My CNS app says it was “cancelled” and my leads one is “in review”.

I checked My Status and my LeaDS is still in review, too. Tracy just e-mailed and said I’m #1 on the waitlist now and admissions will close at the end of March. I feel like my head is just above water and I’m treading...the wait is challenging!

I hope so! Did Tracy say what number you were on the waitlist? I chose LeaDS because I want to work in public health, namely creating community interventions and working with underserved communities. Just the thought gives me the excited butterflies. I know you said you applied for CNS, what do you want to specialize in?

I actually got accepted into leads right after I posted in here. I am considering it, but leaning towards no. Sounds like you really know what you wanna do!! I hope you get in. I want to work with the elderly. I may end up going the associates route after all. It makes sense financially and goal wise for me. Super bummed I haven’t gotten into the CNS program. I didn’t get a straightforward answer from Tracy when I asked if my application to CNS being “cancelled” meant “denied”. Perhaps I will apply in a few years to their other CNS program.

I hope to know soon, can’t believe it’s already March. Oh WOW!, that’s amazing! Congratulations on your acceptance to LeaDS! Was that today? Were you in Dr. Norris’ Microbiology Fall 2019? I recognize your name, we talked a few times about the program ? I miss that class. I meant to ask you how your interview went but we finished the final at different times. That is a tough decision and sounds like you have a great plan whichever route you take.

Congratulations! So excited for you I know you have been waiting for so long! Did everyone see Tracy’s most recent email? Do you really think they’ll postpone Summer classes?
