UT Austin Alternate Entry 2020

Hey everyone! I did not see a post for applicants for Ut Austin's Alternate Entry MSN program for 2020, so I started one! I know the application just opened a few days ago but with all everyone balances, I figure why not start now? I am applying for their PMNHP specialty.

Sorry for all of my posts, getting so antsy over here since at least one person has been admitted from the waitlist...

Hi everyone,

Not sure who on here is on the LeaDS waitlist but I e-mailed Tracy this afternoon to ask if there was a shift in spots. I was originally #8, as of today, I’m #2. Sounds like whatever your number, it moved up 6 spots. Not sure where it goes from here, we’ll see.

Yes, but another waiting game, I’m a bit spent to be honest. Now, those admitted from the waitlist have to accept or deny, not sure what my chances are now.

You’re right that is very frustrating actually :( I kind of wish we all just had a blanket deadline in the middle of March where you would simply find out if you were accepted/rejected so that we aren’t on edge for weeks.

Yes, completely agree! It’s been taxing and defeating. Are you on the waitlist or have been accepted?

Very taxing. I check my email every 10 minutes like a mad woman lol! I was accepted to LeaDs but waitlisted #4 for PMHNP. I want the spot in psych so much and UT is my #1 choice. I was accepted a spot for PMHNP with other more competitive programs but I don’t want to take them until I hear an update on my UT psych spot...

I do, too, I need to stop checking so much. That’s amazing you were accepted into a PMHNP program! Congratulations! I’m curious since I’ve obviously not received an acceptance email- if you officially accepted, can you go back and say “no?”
